I was there for two nights early Jan 2014. It's very different from other hostels that I gotta take off my shoes indoors. I really like the building, the staff I met are nice not like super friendly but not rude at all. I never used the kitchen or the room with tv, they look ok to me tho. The... More

I loved my first time in Washington DC but the hostel left me feeling a bit stressed out ... I arrived on the bus which was late and just before arriving got a message that if I didn't arrive by the closing time, that I would be charged extra for late arrival ... this would have been easily avoided if... I stayed here for 3 nights. The location is good, very close to Chinatown, 5 minutes from the circulator bus (which is a free bus that takes almost everywhere for $1), 15 minutes from the Union Station Train station and only 20 minutes by bus to the White House. I enjoyed my stay here but because I had to work,... More

I decided to take a spontaneous trip to DC one afternoon, and an hour later I was on my way, so I needed a place to stay that was cheap and open. I found this place and took a chance. I endes up getting off at the wrong metro stop, so that put a damper on my arrival. It is... More

There are very few budget accommodation options in DC. Many of the hostels are either not centrally located or book up very quickly. This was the only place I could find that had availability and didn't quite fall into the dive category. I stayed in a 6-bed female dorm for two nights. I had a slight issue finding the place.... I just completed my three day/ two night trip to DC and stay at the Capital View. The hostel was easy to find and parking is plentiful behind the hostel. I suggest just paying the $16 for 24 hours. it also comes with in and out privileges (not that you will want to attempt driving again in the DC traffic).... More

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel because it was located within walking distance of The Mall and the Smithsonian Museums. The hostel is a little tired looking regarding the decor but very clean, which is more important. The check in staff were friendly, efficient and informative. The kitchen is well equipped. The root-top patio is great for relaxing with... More

I have just finished a 3 night. The staff were all pretty cool and informative with a few eccentric ones. The location is good, a nightmare to get to at first becuase of road works happening but youll find your route. The beds are comfy, and the bedrooms are kept nice and cool. The rooftop is also great to drink... More

The rooms are ok, it's a hostel, not a resort!! The staff are great and friendly!!! Very helpful!! Awesome location, close to liquor stores and good restaurants!! The best place is upstairs, the patio, where you can meet nice people and make a lot of friends!!!

I stayed here with my boyfriend in a private room with shared bathroom. We've travelled a lot and stayed in private rooms in really nice hostels all over the US and the world, and so far this is the worst hostel we've stayed in. We had a weird welcome from a staff member whose first words to us were "shoes... More
