We stayed here in January during Snowzilla 2016. This is a converted row house in the wonderful Columbia Heights neighborhood. This is not staffed 24-7 like a normal hotel, but does have normal cleaning services during the day. We arrived after the staff had left, but I had called ahead and they told me how to find our room. You... More

Asante Sana is a converted row house in a great location in Columbia Heights, close to the Metro and shopping. The price was right for a recent business trip, however they unexpectedly charged me for the stay almost a month in advance. The day before I arrived they attempted to charge me again, but fortunately the card number had changed.... More

Stayed there twice because the rooms, bathrooms are clean. Staff is very friendly if you need them. Living room and kitchens are at your disposal. I stayed there with my 11 year old son so it's children friendly. Neighborhood is great and easy to get to subway or buses. You are autonomous in finding your room and in staying there.

I booked the Dubois Suite and it was lovely. The room was quite spacious, the bed was comfortable, small kitchen area etc. The home it self is beautiful, nicely decorated and very comfortable. The main house: The living room area is quaint, they have an eating area with several tables and chairs plus they have the fully equipped kitchen that... More

Decent place. I honestly find it hard to give bad reviews but I had to share this and I hope , they improve or do not do this to another customer.. I am trying my best to write in a positive tone.. When we got there, we had not received our email for a code to enter, so we called... More

My family stayed in five hotels on our US trip. This one was the cheapest, and the BEST. We had an entire floor to ourselves, access to cooking and laundry, and close to subway and a GIANT supermarket.

We stayed in the Dubois room. It is a beautiful room with a HUGE bed, a TV, kitchenette, dining table, and large bathroom. I couldn't fault it. It was just a lovely room. It made us want to stay in there and not get out and explore! But explore we did. The metro is a 5 minute walk down the... More

The guest house accommodations are lovely, once you can get everything "set". The biggest problem is there is no on site employee, you are sent a keypad code for entry to the house and room by email upon payment. It's a bit odd and we had some challenges communicating about the codes and the parking. Emails that didn't come through,... More

Stayed one night 29 Nov 2014 in Asian room. Have gotten more than 80 bites (arms hands neck and face. I have never had that experience before so went to the doctor who confirmed these were bed bugs bites. I look like I have slept under a bridge... Not good for my first week at my new job

We haven't had any other reports of bed bugs, and we did take preventive measures regardless. If they were there, they are not indigenous to Asante Sana Guest Quarters, that had to have come from someone. Regards, MGR. More

Super nice and cozy. Only stayed one night but felt very good and relaxed. Nice place, good conditions, 5 min walk from metro station. Self check-in and check-out, wich is perfectly fine, you get the security codes on email, and just go in!
