Over the last 20 years I've stayed in many bed and breakfasts in the DC area including Dupont Circle, Capital Hill, and Logan Circle. On this business trip I decided to try the Mount Vernon area; an area I've never stayed in before. If you are a light sleeper, as I am, this may not be the place for you.... More

My husband and I were extremely pleased with our stay although it was for only one night. The home was beautiful and very clean with great charm but at the same time very comfortable. We stayed in the Bombay Room which met all of our needs. Plenty of outlets for all of our gadgets. Great shower with jaccuzi tub. The... More

My husband and I spent one night at the MVSBB. We stayed in the Copper room which was charming (even if a bit smaller than what we expected by looking at the photos). The bed was clean and comfortable, and every corner in the room looked well thought out. Not only our room, but the entire establishment was perfectly maintained... More

I stayed here for one night last week while in DC for work, and it was by far way too short of a visit to truly appreciate this charming venue. I had read such good things on TA and was able to get a good rate rather than stay at my usual Hilton spots, and my stay sure didn't disappoint.... More

We stayed at the Mt. Vernon Square B&B for our anniversary in May and it was fabulous! We stayed in the Cleopatra room and it was gorgeous! The room was spacious and well decorated. The best part was the bathroom...the 2 person deep soaker tub was amazing! I seriously could have stayed in it all day! Keith, the owner, was... More

We stayed in the terrace room. The down side to this is that the bathroom is down a flight of stairs, its a private bath but you have to travel to it. This is more than made up for by the HUGE terrace that overlooks the city and had a little view of the capital dome. The breakfast was phenomenal... More

We had a wonderful time at the Mt. Vernon Square. The hotel is 3 blocks from a Metro station and close to many attractions. The street is quiet and full of pretty homes. Breakfasts are delicious and Keith is a great host. We will try to come back.

We have just returned from a weekend stay at this fabulous B&B. Keith is the perfect hose, accommodating and welcoming. Everything seems to have been so well thought out here. All the extra touches are so appreciated after a long day of business or sightseeing in DC. Breakfasts were delicious and the setting is perfect. (I hate to let all... More

My wife and I spent a long weekend in DC and stayed at the MVSBB. First off, the cheapskate in me loved the price as it is a dynamite value for Washington DC. Most decent hotels are >$200 per night, even if you stay in Arlington or Alexandria near the Metro line. MVSBB was in DC, 3 blocks from a... More

We spent 2 nights in 'The State' room. It is a huge room with a private bathroom both of which are beautifully decorated. The room has a fridge, coffee maker, wardrobe and couch. Keith is a wonderful host. We corresponded prior to our arrival to discuss our dietary requirements and possible late arrival. Nothing was a problem and our requests... More
