The hospitality and service at this place is excellent. Keith greeted us and gave us the lay of the B&B and then offered us any drink when we arrived. The room (The State Room) we had was lovely and featured a nice bed, sofa, a great shower and bath (with five different ways the water could reach you plus a... More

The staff was courteous and informative. The room was spacious with many nice touches. Very comfortable bed. The common areas were charming and quite large. I would have liked to had breakfast but the 8:30 start didn't work with my schedule. Would like to see some flexibility here. Even without breakfast the room was well worth the price. Wireless printers... More

Enjoy the hospitality, host is friendly and accommodating and available. The house is beautiful and comfortable. Location is great, walking distance to convention center and China town. And I am very impressed with the cleanliness of the house. I did not have chance to have the full course of breakfast, but the express version of it is very impressive already.

This B&B is lovely, and the proprietors are very warm and accommodating. I stayed in the Cleopatra Room, which was beautifully decorated and spotless and had every possible convenience. I unfortunately had to miss breakfast because of a meeting, but I saw it being prepared and it looked wonderful! Just a few blocks from the red line too, so very... More

Mt Vernon B&B first is in a trendy neighbourhood, just walk down 7th St nearby and your in restaurant heaven. Second Keith who owns and runs it with star cook Glenda is very helpful, nothing is to hard for his clients. Third the rooms are big and spacious at least the one I was in the Bombay Room with all... I really enjoyed my stay at Mt Vernon. Keith was very helpful throughout my stay and served lovely breakfasts, including at 7.15 on a Sunday morning, an appetising light meal of fruit, Greek youghourt and toasted croissants. I booked the Copper room and found it very convenient and comfortable. I expect to visit again and would highly recommend to others.... More

Had a fantastic trip to Washingtom and staying at Keith's B&B made it just that much better. Glenda was amazing, wonderful cook and kep the place spotless. My husband and I stayed in the Terrace room, love it. Even thought the bathroom was downstairs it was beautiful and we really didn't mind. We were within 15 minutes walking distance of... More

Although there are several nice features of this B&B, I had to mark it very low for several reasons: LOCATION: The location is in a dicey part of D.C. I was kept awake the first night by the sounds of the radios on police cruzers looking for "suspects" just outside my bedroom window; BUSINESS TRAVELERS: This place is very unaccommodating... More

Stayed here with a friend in May 2014 for 3 nights. Having never been to Washington, DC before, I did plenty of research on the types of accommodation available and all the hotels were either out of budget or looked too run down for the price. Finally, the idea of staying at a B&B popped up and we found ourselves... More

The charming house is beautifully appointed, the sumptuous family-style breakfasts allowed visiting with fellow guests, and Keith, our host, went out of his way to accommodate our every need. Parking was convenient, and the Metro is a few short blocks away. We'd stay there anytime!
