The charming house is beautifully appointed, the sumptuous family-style breakfasts allowed visiting with fellow guests, and Keith, our host, went out of his way to accommodate our every need. Parking was convenient, and the Metro is a few short blocks away. We'd stay there anytime!

This is a lovely B&B in DC! Parking was only $10/night, the room was well appointed, clean and the breakfast was outstanding. It is a beautiful old building on M St., NW and renovated for accommodations. Just beautiful. Keith took great care of us. We would definitely stay here again and much prefer this type arrangement to a hotel. Note... More

This was by far the best vacation housing choice I've ever made. After getting disgusted by the added charges (Wi-fi, parking, etc) of nearby hotels, I started looking at B&Bs and this one caught my fancy. Having never stayed in a B&B, we didn't know what to expect and this one set the bar high! The home was beautiful and... More

We were part of a group that went to DC together. Most of our group stayed at a hotel a few blocks away and paid nearly $500 a night. For less that a fourth of that, we got to stay in a much better place. Keith was a gracious host. Upon arrival he had us dump our bags in the... More

I've been traveling back and forth to DC for months and my biggest regret is not discovering this gem sooner! In the craziness that is DC, this B&B is an oasis of tranquility, class and charm. I am luxuriating in the Cleopatra room, complete with antique furnishings, a spa tub under a striking stained glass window, a fantastic glass of... More

Mt.Vernon's B&B's proprietor, Kieth, is a wonderful host at this amazing B&B. The family-style breakfast is rivaled only by the exquisite decor. Both quite a feast. Lovely for the single traveller , walking distance to Metro,The Mall ,Chinatown, and all that our Nation's Capital offers. I shall return.

Keith is a superb inn keeper - caring and attentive host. His breakfast was on par with a bistro - delicious OJ, and coffee (& I say that rarely about coffee), fresh fruit, fluffy scrambled eggs, perfectly grilled sausage and crispy sweet potato fries. YUM! And to keep all happy, Fage and Activia yogurt. Stayed in Cooper Room - super... More

My daughter and I stayed here for just one night while we were looking at colleges. Keith was a great host and the B and B is really lovely. We stayed in the terrace room which has a huge private terrace adjoined to it. The private bathroom is down a flight of stairs and this really is not a problem.... More

In January, my wife and I spent 5 nights at this impeccable bed & breakfast. We could not have chosen a more pleasant or helpful place. Keith is a terrific host: attentive to the inn, and interested in his guests. We had many memorable conversations. The rooms are lovely and comfortable. Common areas--living room & dining room--have exquisite detail: piano,... More

Keith and his colleague were attentive to details large and small. My room was spacious and quiet with eclectic art and furnishings (no regular framed landscapes!). Loved the red chairs, and they were comfortable to boot. The main sitting area of the house was a cohesive blend of modern and traditional that matched my personal taste. There was plenty of... More
