From what I can see the W does two things....they give everyone the complementary upgrade and the manager responds to every insult to the W's reputation on the Internet.   Well, respond to this, Manager.  I am at your hotel right this very minute.  Everything is for sale in my 900.oo a night suite.  Condoms, peanuts, water for about 3x... Hi Smuswim, As you may have noticed Washington is hosting several big conferences which have caused a major influx of people coming to the city. With our very centrally located hotel we attract quite a crowd. Our venues like the POV rooftop bar and J&G patio/wine bar get a lot of attention over these days causing our availability to be... This hotel is most exceptional. The staff are so helpful and friendly. They go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. The hotel is located across from the White house. Very convenient to all museums.

I was checking in as an spg gold member for an 8 day stay at the W. My wife and son was going to be joining me later for the fouth of July celebration so I had booked a room with two queen beds. I was offered an upgrade to a suite for an extra $150 which I said I... More

Staff were extremely attentive and friendly. Arrived off an early-morning flight not expecting to check-in but my room was ready, with a complimentary upgrade. Room was comfortable and clean and more than satisfactory as a home base. I was in DC to sightsee and the location cannot be beaten for proximity to the attractions. It is a more expensive hotel... The woman who checked us in described our room as magnificent with a street view. She was so excited! Um - ok, small room cluttered with stuff for sale - water, snacks, wine, more wine, more water, etc. The shower has a translucent wall next to the bed so if you turn on the light at night and someone is... Hi drrazzle, Thanks for the review. I am sorry to read you did not like the room lay-out as much as you liked the W signature bed and our Bliss amenities. Sara and the team do an amazing job and thank you for recognizing their hard work. I am glad you had a good time! More

First things first, don't do the green option if you are staying for multiple days and not in a suite. The water flows out of the shower and ends up soaking the entire tile floor which in our case ran out into our room, so it is a must to have housekeeping come and mop that up. The interior rooms... I stayed at the W Washington for business. Overall I thought it was a good hotel with a high level of service. The rate I paid was relativley expensive, and I was expecting a bit more in terms of the size of the room, but in general my experience was very good here. The restaurant is good and the location... Stayed at the W Washington from June 18-21. When checking in, we were nicely greeted by Salome. The W DC is a great hotel. Wonderful views from POV the roof top bar. We also had a nice dinner in the Steakhouse but the service was a little slow. Blair at the lobby bar was wonderful! Overall great place to stay and if you are staying there you get to cut the line to get into the Bar... More
