I stayed at the hotel for one night on a business trip the week of June 23, 2013. The Metro is a block away and there is a police station around the corner. I checked in at 9:45 pm. The clerk at the check-in desk was very friendly. The check-in is on the second floor. The first floor was manned... More

I am a big fan of TripAdvisor & have often made hotel choices based on reviews. I was skeptical at first because of all the negative reviews that were given to this hotel. Fortunately, there were enough positive reviews for me to at least give Courtyard Washington a try. Good thing I did because the entire weekend was wonderful! My... More

I stayed at this hotel while on a business trip. The location is in an up and coming section of town that is being transformed by various federal offices coming and building in the area. There are new restaurants that are open in the area as well as a Bon Pain two doors down. It is a stone throw away... More

We found this hotel through Kayak.com. The rate for this hotel attracted me to read the reviews and decided to stay in this hotel. The metro is in the same building which is so convenient. The parking daily rate is $30 but it was so nice it allowed us to pick up the car at 6pm though we checked out... More

we stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of June and found it to be a nice hotel. we were welcomed by the lobby staff but did not hear from them any other time really. it was a quiet location but a little too far away from the attractions that we wanted to see. we had dinner at their... More

Thank you for taking to time to share your feedback! I am happy that you enjoyed the Bistro Bar and you would recommend the hotel to others. Many of our guests use the metro to get around the city. Our hotel is only a block away from the NoMa/Gallaudet stop. Our close vicinity to the metro provides easy access to... More

Let me start by addressing the negative things I read in other reviews. 1st of all I stayed here with my husband & 3 children & the area is not "sketchy" at all! It is definitely an up & coming area! There are people who beg for money everywhere you go in DC, I was approached near the White House... More

The hotel was difficult to get to by car; the front of the hotel had no pull up; the only parking was valet at $33 a night; the front desk was what appeared to be a satellite police office; the "front desk or registration" was on the second floor; the small "bistro" was closed; the room was overlooking the Metro... Reception is on the 2nd floor, easy to find hotel thanks to my gps, room was great though mattress too soft - overused - therefore had to sleep in the middle of the bed. Standard Courtyard, which for most would mean very good room at a reasonable price. Cons: sketchy neighborhood, so don't plan on walking anywhere, except to the next door Metro station. Also, tough to get a cab. Plan to call ahead and then wait for it. Wi-fi was sometimes very slow. Pros: if you can get a decent price, then it... More

We were very satisfied with the quality and location of this hotel-- it's right next to a metro station, close to several small restaurants (and the nicest grocery store I've ever had the pleasure of visiting!), and within walking distance of the East Capitol neighborhood in which our friends live. At just over $100 per night, it was one of... More
