We stayed here three nights in August with my son who is 19. The staff was great and the location very good. The rooms were very clean and the main bed was very comfortable but the sofa bed was terrible!!!!!! The bathroom had been updated and was fantastic. If you are looking to use the kitchen, our dishwasher did not... More

The location is great for a visit to Washington. Just a short walk to the Mall and all down hill maybe 15 mins to the White House and 15 to the capital building and only 2 mins from a metro. The rooms was no to bad seen better days and in need of re-decoration. There was no tele in the... More

I stayed here for a work-related convention recently. I was very pleased with the location - it is VERY close to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The amenities were nothing special. Each room is a suite, which is nice and meant that there was considerable space and a full, nicely appointed kitchen. The bathroom sink drained VERY slow and... More

I stayed here for one night but I absolutely loved it. The location was more than perfect for me, I walked all of DC that were important. The hotel is more like an apartment. Everything was upgraded, clean and fabulous. I think the only downside to this place is that they only have one elevator, luckily the stairs are right... More

This hotel has great potential, it is in a great location, the price was decent and the front desk staff are really nice, BUT...the air conditioning didn't work on the first night and I didn't discover this until it was late in the evening . There were dirty pots and pans in the sink when I arrived. When they did... More

We stayed 4 nights at the Eldon. The rooms were nice and clean. There were not adequate pots and pans to cook with; so when it says fully equipped kitchens, it isn't. The wireless internet was useless. It would knock you off about every 3 minutes; and that's if you could even get on. There are a lot of hidden... More

I stayed two nights while attending a conference. It's just a block from the convention center, two blocks from the Mt. Vernon Metro station (and a couple more from Chinatown). Location is great for conference-goers but also if you are just in D.C. to visit the sites. It is certainly the most square footage for the dollar of anywhere I've... More

We had stayed here 3 years ago and were quite pleased. We recommended it to several friends. However, we stayed at The Eldon last week and were very disappointed.. We had 2 suites and both smelled heavily of smoke. One room even had a cigarette burn in sofa. The rooms were showing a lot of "wear" and area rugs were... More

Stayed at the Hotel for 3 nights. These guys have got large suites with excellent working facilities. The rooms are clean and well maintained. A huge bonus is the location for the cost you pay. Definitely going to stay here again.

Interesting hotel. Pluses, very large suite, newly renovated, marble floors, nice shower. Minuses, renovation was not done by the finest artisans, fairly rough. I stayed in 504 and the dishwasher was half installed. BUT really roomy and considerably less than the new Marriott across the street.
