Ongoing renovations were a surprise, but not much of a problem beyond slow elevator service at times, because two of the four are out of service. And a lack of in-hotel easily accessible restaurant service was a second issue. But the staff contacts were so negative that the only reason this hotel gets even two stars is that the room... More

The location is the best thing going for the hotel at the moment until at least the renovations are completed. Elevators were being upgraded and so peak time waits for a lift were frustrating. Room was comfortable but cold - aircon roared away but never warmed the room at all. Wifi service is expensive and atrocious with a weird pricing... More

Renovated rooms were an improvement over last time we stayed there, but staff helped to overcome some short falls. Elevators are not all working and a few snags, but staff worked hard at correcting small problems. Great location.

This hotel is going through renovations and there are many issues they are working through. While I was here there was only one elevator working (which for a hotel this size, I believe has some safety issues). I ended up walking up and down the stairwell because either the elevator was packed when it got to my floor or it... More

We've been staying here for several years. Staff is very friendly & make sure that you have a pleasant visit. Location is very near most of the most popular sites & it is a very pleasant walk. We really enjoy the bar & repartee with the bartenders. They know lots about DC and are happy to give you recommendations.

I was able to spend the weekend at the Westin with my husband and from the time I drove up to the hotel everybody from the valet service, to the check-in desk, concierge, waiters at both the restaurant and breakfast buffet--everybody was very professional and very nice. Customer service is very important to me. The staff was excellent. I am... More

I nearly cancelled tis booking when read other reviews about the renovation works but was reassured by comments made by management that the renovation was complete. It wasn't. The lobby and entrance area resembled a construction site. And worse still my room was dark, shabby and dated - so I'm not sure what type of renovation this could have been.... More

This property is located in a convenient area, but the building offers nothing of interest. Very few rooms have views outside and the one I was in had a view of air handlers into a drab courtyard. This is what I was offered as top tier in Starwood's loyalty program. If you are visiting DC and want anything more than... More

I accompanied my fiancé to a work conference so he was technically the one on business as I tagged along. After initially booking a suite during the reservations we made 4 months prior they put us in a room on the first floor that the entire lobby could see into. After nicely asking to be moved, they moved us to... More

This hotel has been greatly improved by the work that was carried out at the end of 2013. It used to be rather dark and drab, the lobby now has a bright and pleasant feel to it. They put on an event to inaugurate the bar when we were there, the food and wine they served were REALLY excellent!! The... More
