This is the ideal place to stay for anyone planning to attend a professional meeting in the Marriott across the street. You can escape the hubbub of a conference hotel (and packed elevators) but be 2 minutes from the lobby. Woodley Park offers comfortable rooms and, above all, friendly staff who know your name! The buffet breakfast is tasty and... More

I design workshops for academic faculty from all over North America. I recommend Woodley Park Guest House as a great place to stay; good wireless, convenient to anywhere in DC since it is close to the Metro, and excellent breakfasts. Courtney, the owner, is always there in the morning and knows DC! She can direct you to great restaurants in... More

Two things I wish I had known before staying here: 1. There was no resident innkeeper. There is no staff member on the premises after 8pm. Staff arrives again early the next morning, around 6:30am. 2. Food is not prepared at this location. There isn't a kitchen for breakfast preparation. Food was prepared at another location and carried to this... More

Thank you for your comments about your stay at the Woodley Park Guest House. Every bed and breakfast is unique. Because we are not exactly like any other place you have ever stayed, we have spent thousands of dollars and countless hours developing a stunning website that comprehensively describes - with text, photos and video - the experience and hospitality... I am a repeat customer on my business trips into DC. If you want the amenities of a big hotel, this is not the place for you. I like smaller hotels, though, and the WPGH has all that I need - attentive genuinely-nice staff, excellent breakfasts, spotlessly clean and well maintained rooms, internet, metro and bus access to DC and... I stayed at the Woodley Park Guest House for a week in early January, both for a conference across the street at the Marriott and for several days pre- and post-conference of sight-seeing. It was an equally good location for both purposes: my walk to our meeting room was shorter than that for some people actually staying in the hotel... More

Great quality service, it's like staying at a family home, very rare to find in any city! It is close to impossible finding parking in the city, and when you do, it's either over-priced meter parking or $18 for parking over 2 hours. Ridiculous. There are no hotels (including boring, hideous corporate hotels) that we could find that offered parking... More

Everything is first class, but....we were disappointed about a $20 a day parking fee on site and there is no common area or lobby. The people are very friendly and accommodating, but it feels more like a small hotel than a Band b. We didn't like the parking fee because it felt like an additional cost when comparing properties and... More

My wife and I attended a wedding in downtown DC staying with the bridal party close to the church and reception at a hotel. We extended our stay at the Woodley House for a couple days to tour the Capitol, museums and the memorials. It was wonderful to be able to leave the car at the B&B and take the... More

So much better than the big chain hotels. I had a late arrival, which was accommodated with ease and grace. I also liked that breakfast is served at a single large table, so you will definitely chat with your fellow guests. Very friendly, superb service, I couldn't give it a better recommendation! Also just one block from the Woodley Park... More

A very cute place! The nicest hotel I've been in so far! And actually the first time meeting an owner! Courtney is her name, a very sweet lady. The Innkeeper Vanessa is awesome! Very courteous and kind, so helpful :) The place made feel at home. Highly recommended!!! Thank you all!
