this was my fifth time and I haven't been disappointed yet. Each time I stay in a diffferent room- they seem to be able to read my mind as to what room I want when they give me my choice when I check in (how cool is that!) and each room is better than the last. The showers, you need... more

My wife and I had our wedding reception at The Mansion this past May and it was an amazing event. No detail was left undone, the management made the day very easy by handling all of the planning and our guests were blown away by the food, original ambiance and great service. The rooms in this place are amazing and... more

I had the pleasure of attending a two-day conference at the Mansion recently. It was a great place for brainstorming, as the unique atmosphere got everyone's creative juices going. I stayed in the Midshipman room; the steam shower was a nice surprise. I poked my head in as many rooms as I could (just wandering around is a trip) and... more

I stayed in January, the rooms were clean and the 3 staff members that we met were very attentive. I did attend a buffet style dinner, it was not impressive. The remainder of that stay we dinned out. I returned agin in April, to visit. My associates wanted to visit the, so called Mansion on O. They read reviews that... more

Had the pleasure of visiting the Mansion again this winter and it was even more glorious than I remember! It always seems different every time I visit and each time more enchanting. I had the good fortune to stay in the Lennon Suite, it was beautiful. I was lucky enough to be staying on a Monday night and took in... more

This place is crazy cluttered. Junk everywhere and all of it "for sale." All of it ridiculously expensive. Food wasn't that great. Not bad, but nothing special. Service was horrible. All the "employees" I talked to were there on their first day or there for an interview. I asked again and again and couldn't find anyone who actually worked here.... more

Exceptional! One of a kind experience- unless you are fortunate enough to return again and again! I stayed at the Mansion on my first ever trip to DC while colleagues disappointedly stayed at a typical hotel in the same pricerange. The Mansion staff respects privacy above all else. (A big reason reservations are done on-line and perhaps why other writers... more

I am a journalist and have stayed in hotels all over the world for many years. I come to Washington two or three times a year. I've just stayed at the Mansion for a week and can honestly say it's both unique and quite wonderful. The rooms, apart from their status as genuine museum exhibits, are exceptionally spacious and comfortable.... more

This is my third stay at this magnificent property and it feels like my first time. Everything in this wonderful place changes almost as if it is alive. Art, music, decor seem to change daily to make every day a new and different experience. Visit The Mansion if you are looking for an "experience" there is no other place like... more

Stayed here for 4 nights and are so glad we did. This place must be seen to be appreciated - no words can describe it. It changes daily and there is always something going on. We were given our choice of rooms, and shown around the entire Mansion upon arrival. Even after 4 days, we still got lost! Yes, there... more
