Thank you to Charlie and Jackie for a lovely stay. The breakfast was great (some of the best eggs I've ever had), the bed was PERFECTLY comfortable (slept like a rock) and the company was delightful. The holiday decorations really made the place look amazing. I especially love all the vintage European posters around the house. Loved the giant flat... more

We arrived quite late in the evening but Jackie greeted us with a friendly smile. The room was more than we had hoped for-- quite large and with a fantastically comfortable bed. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts were full of helpful tips for first time visitors. This B&B is conveniently located to many DC attractions and costs less... more

Those are a few of the adjectives I could use to describe our 3-day stay at the Aaron Shipman House. The accomodations were comfortable, the meals were creative, delicious and well prepared and presented. The breakfast table was a terrific start to each day. Jackie and Charles Reed are winners , as is their B&B. Among the best B&Bs Elaine... more

I'm a frequent business traveler who was looking for an alternative to the standard hotel accomodations. I found what I was looking for ie.simplicity in getting around town but not compromising on quality. When you're travel plans take you to DC, this is the place to stay as the owners will take great care of you...so much so you will... more

My husband and I spent a lovely two weeks at the Aaron Shipma B&B in Washington, DC. Located in the trendy and beautiful Victorian neighborhood of Logan Circle, this B&B is near at least three metro stops and within walking distance of great restaurants, shops, nightclubs, theaters, etc. The hallmark of this B&B is its warmth and beauty. The Aaron... more

My husband, 13 year old daughter and I stayed in the one bedroom apartment at the Aaron Shipman House and enjoyed our stay immensely. The apartment was clean and comfortable. It has a fully functional kitchen, beautiful fireplace and great water pressure in the shower. (Always important to me) The owners put a lot of simple touches into the place... more

An amendment to our earlier review... Shortly after this review was posted, we were contacted by the owner of the Aaron Shipman House. She expressed regret that things were not as we had hoped. She acknowledged that their website did not include complete and up to date information about the apartment (but felt the booking site was more accurate- that... more

Visited DC with my wife, and chose this B&B based on previous reviews and web site presentation. We could not have been more pleased. The room was very nice. Access to other sitting areas, patios, decks and courtyard made our stay all the more pleasant. Our hosts were a delight to spend time with. Breakfast was always an interesting and... more

I had a wonderful stay. The gracious and welcoming hosts went out of their way to make the visit of each guest memorable. I stayed in a small third floor room that shared a bath. The accommodations were lovely with a comfortable bed and beautiful antique furniture. The house with its original lustrous oak woodwork, living rooms, and walled garden... more

There is nothing like travelling to a "foreign" city, yet feeling at home when you return each night or wake each morning! We felt like family, and our nine year old became an additional grand child. Our hosts didn't blink an eye when we told them our daughter was sick with the stomach flu. Not only did they offer soda... more
