I was able to get a deal for this hotel on Hotwire and paid half the rate, so i can't complain for what i paid. I don't think it is worth the full price. Its one of the few decent places to stay in Portsmouth if you won't consider a B&B. The room was clean, the bedding was good quality... more

This is probably the nicest hotel i have ever stayed at...the staff is amazing and accommodated everything i needed...i had to make 3 separate reservations and they made it so i was able to stay in the 1 room for all 2 weeks. Couldn't pick a better hotel. The rate was definitely the deal compared to the downtown hotels. Our housekeeper was great...she took it upon herself to check with us at the beginning of the stay to see when we wanted our room cleaned. The lounge is comfortable and inviting. Great drinks! The hotel staff went out of their way to make our stay very special..They put flowers and ballons in the room..They even gave us a box of snacks for our dog that the lady at the front desk heard barking when I called to confirm our reservations. In a nut-shell....12 hour drive/4 hour flight.....took the flight.....many problems and 17 not 4 hours later we arrived.
