If you are looking for an excellent home base for hiking in the southern section of the Green Mountain National Forest this is the place. It is located just a few miles east of Bennington, right off of route 9. Travelers can stay inside at the hostel or camp outside on the property. I can't speak for campers but as... More

Since my first phone call to Ann, it was a great experience. She waited up for me as I arrived fairly late, let me pick a campsite and provided me with lots of area information and tips. I spent some time in the "common area" where there was wi-fi, other than that there is no service around here, which was... More

We spent 2 nights in the campground in the last week, and we were very pleased. The sites are beautiful, clean, mostly level, and the services provided are really nice. Some sites are right out in the open, and others are quiet and private, tucked away in the woods. The family that runs the campgrounds have been doing this for... More

This campground was more than we expected. We were given a choice of the available sites before sign in with advice on why certain sites would be better than others. Once parked and checked in we were provided much more information and advice on the campground amenities and the local area. This campground is also a hostel. The hostel is... More

We just spent a week at this campground. The weather was not especially cooperative---cold, windy, and some rain---but we had a very good time, anyway. The owners are the nicest people you will ever meet, and go all out to be sure that you are comfortable and satisfied with your time at their campground. Sites are large, and many are... More

We stopped by today without a reservation and got a lovely spot for our motorhome. I took a walk around the grounds and could not be more impressed. Lots of good hiking. What a gorgeous spot. Only wish we were staying more than one night! We paid $34 (cash only BTW) for elec/water and dump station. Wireless connection did not... More

This is one of the cleanest, nicest and friendly campground we have visited in a long time. Our site was spacious, partially wooded and private with a babbling brook across the gravel road. The bathrooms were spotless. The host were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We would definitely return and will recommend this campground to all of our friends.

By far one of the cleanest and nicest campgrounds I've ever stayed at. Sites are large, well designed for utilities and awesome view. Area has hiking and small towns for exploring. Road is not safe for biking. Owners were beyond nice and helpful. They really maintain a mellow and relaxed experience while you are there. Public bathrooms were clean. Can't... More

After visiting many OTHER overcrowded campgrounds with scary bathrooms, this is now the only campground I consider as a pleasurable camping experience. Our family returns here every year, making the long drive from Long Island, to be greeted by the on-site owners, Ann and Ed, who maintain this park like campground as a safe, family oriented experience. They are the... More
