Casa Bernardo is conveniently located a short 7-8mn walk from the center of Trinidad, just far enough so you're away from the hustle and bustle at night. There are a few local shops selling drinks and food around too, which you can pay for in local pesos. Bernardo was a great host and we really enjoyed our stay there. He's... More

Bernardo provides a very nice place to stay and he is a great cook. We had a red snapper that was outstanding! We highly recommend his house, it is located close to the city center and you can park in front of the house.

We've found Bernardo through our host in Havana. Was nice that he was waiting for us at the bus stop with our names so we didn't have to deal with the crowd We got a room with a nice balcony where we had the breakfast and dinner served. Amazing food!!! You just feel bad have any leftover, so you eat... More

Good, clean and quiet room with a private big balcony where you get served excellent food. Good bathroom, shower, big bed, air con and good location. They forgot to empty the trash bin in the bathroom - apart from that - everything else was clean. Friendly, helpful, English speaking hosts who can help you to plan and coordinate your travel... Bernardo and Sarahi are really nice people to speak to, very helpful and interesting. We really enjoyed to get to know them in he two days we spent in Trinidad! Unfortunately the house was not the best we had in Cuba, at least the room we slept in. It had no real window (just one looking in the corridor), very... More

Bernardo and Sarahi offer clean, simple, spartan accommodations a few streets from the centre of Trinidad. We were in an upstairs room that opened onto a covered porch overlooking the backyard of the house. For simple Cuban dishes, well executed, I recommend Sarahi's cooking. Eating on the porch is probably the highlight of staying here. Our room was pleasant, with... More

Thank you very much for the feedback and suggestions into account as I will have to change cochones, but I tell you here is difficult to buy high quality mattresses. More

First of all, thank you Sarahi! We arrived very late and didn't have a booking for this place, as our previous booking (Nancy Ortega Lopez Manuel Solano) was a real bad experience, so we tried to get into Sarahi's casa. We had a wonderful stay. It was clean and the rooms had just been renovated. Only letdown was that we... More

Excellent location, just steps from Plaza Mayor (Main Square, heart of Old Town). Room was clean and comfortable, with minibar and air conditioning, we didn't use it though, kept window open all the time to enjoy the fresh air of Cuba. Breakfast was excellent, lots of tropical fruit. We had dinner there too, loved Bernardo's lobster and fish, right from... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
On this, the most quiet central street in town (Chinchiquira is a dead-end street — parallel to main street Maceo — which passes by the town's City Hall Square), Bernardo — who acquired experience on a nearby Ancon beach hotel — rents two aircon bedrooms : from the back of the casa, behind the kitchen, a corkscrew stairway leads up to the first bedroom with its private terrace (with views of surroundings and Sarahi's patio next door), fridge, table, chairs and ornemental plants where guests can enjoy breakfasts and dinners. "We rent two bedrooms with terraces and balconies decorated with plants in the first floor with great privacy, retaining its charm with frescoed ceilings and wooden roof tiles and furnished with ancient pieces of great historical value. One bedroom has two old beds and the other a double bed and a single, ensuite bathroom, airconditioning and ceiling fan, refrigerator. The terrace=balcony is a nice place to relax, read or enjoy breakfast and dinner."N.B. Two couples or a family renting both bedrooms have the use of the whole casa including the compact kitchen, as Bernardo sleeps elsewhere. He used to live with spouse Sarahi next door.Bernardo takes pride in being listed in various guides such as the English ... more   less
