I really enjoyed my time at Casa Amatista in Trinidad. This was the best casa I encountered in my three weeks in Cuba. The owners are very friendly, the room was big and very clean and it had these little touches like soap in the bathroom and cloth hangers that I didn't find in many casas. And the best... the... We had a perfect time at hostal amatista, enjoying the wonderful room, the excellent breakfast and dinner, both served at the lovely terrace. The location ist close to everything, in the old town and close to Viazul bus station. Very friendly, nice and helpful hosts made our stay unforgettable. Highly recommended Christine and Reinhold

My girlfriend and I spent 3 days at this wonderful casa back in February. The hosts were so kind to arrange for us to go hiking in the mountains, and after a day at the beach, we were surprised with a nice cold refreshing fruit juice. Also worth mentioning is the lovely roof top where breakfast and dinner is served.... More

Haraida and Jose were perfect hosts. They made us feel very welcome and like part of the family. The house is huge and spacious with a wonderful cast iron staircase to the terrace which is like a little bit of heaven: it has a vine canopy full of flowers and a view to die for. As everyone else has commented... More

l've spent two days in Trinidad, and Hostal Amatista made my days more beatiful! The room was so big, clean and so comfortable! Casa owners are great people, you feel like you are at your own house! Plus, breakfast was amazing! I strongly recommend Hostal Amatista to Trinidad visitors, it is located in historical area, and it is surrounded with... More

Good food, great rooftop terrace, lovely hosts, superb cocktails. The low water pressure in the shower is a real issue though. One of the family members is a guide in the Topes de Collantes, which is really helpful. Laundry service was a plus. The three nights spent in Trinidad were the only ones we really lived the holiday mood, not... More

Hiraida and Jose were the most fun hosts in all of our 3 week trip in Cuba. Always smiling and eager to help, we were made to feel like a part of the family. Their casa is stunning with a colonial setting and amazing terrace covered in vines and flowers with the moon peeking at you. Our room was massive... More

Jose and Iraida were extremely welcoming hosts and made us feel at home in their casa. When we arrived we were invited straight away to their NYE party for which they provided great food (Jose your pork was amazing!), music and dancing. We especially enjoyed the extravagant breakfasts on their terazza under the beautiful vines. And your mojitos are definitely... More

We cannot wait to go back in Cuba, only for Trinidad. Jose and Iraida made our trip such perfection. We fall in love with the city and their family. The location of the house is just perfect. Only one min walks from La Casa de la Musica and 2 min from the bus station. The house is a colonial style... More

This is probably one of the nicest casas particulares in Trinidad, and we had a very enjoyable 5-days stay where the hosts José and Hiraida did everything possible for us to be comfortable (despite the heat!) and have a good time. The cooking (mostly José's work, by the looks of things) was delicious and it was served on their (our)... More
