everything about Jile and Michael's house was perfect- so friendly, well-appointed and helpful. We stayed four days, and in that time went on lots of excursions where taxis could pick you up straight from the casa, some of which Jile organised for us. The distance from Trinidad or Playa Ancon should definitely not put you off - It's 5 cuc... More

El capitan is in just right location, close to Trinidad (7km), a minute walk to village of La Boca and few minutes of car to Playa Ancon and other surrounding beaches. Micheal and Jile are a visionary couple that always think to improve their casa for their guests. We visited this casa in 2012 and went back this spring, enjoying... More

Lovely hosts, generous and patient with our many questions; the sea lulling us to sleep at night through the louvred windows; clean and nicely appointed rooms; white-winged doves cooing at dawn, a chameleon on the tree; easy and cheap to get taxis to Trinidad and Ancon (you DON't need a car!); bikes on property to rent, which we rode south... My husband and I extended our 5 night stay to 10 nights because we were so comfortable, relaxed, and able to do everything we wanted from here. Jillie is a lovely hostess, keeps well appointed and immaculate rooms, and we really enjoyed sitting back in the evening and enjoying a delicious meal and a glass of wine while watching the... More

The 5 of us had 3 rooms for 6 nights in the casa. It was our favourite casa and best hosts during our month-long cuban holiday! The casa is filled with laughter, both from the family and the staff - a truly happy place. They are upgrading the casa - under the 2 terrace-rooms a kitchen is being built for... More

The rooms are amazing, very comfortable (with king size bed!), the best we found in Cuba. Hosts are very kind and friendly, and speak good English. We enjoyed our stay, but have a car is mandatory. You need the car to reach Playa Ancon (best beach in the area) and to reach Trinidad.

What an amazing place! This charming bed and breakfast has to be the best in Trinidad! The very private room (separate from where the family lives) was amazing, great water pressure and hot water in the private bathroom, wonderful food, fantastic view of the ocean and an amazing family and staff who pay attention to every detail! I have stayed... More

My wife and I stayed here in 2011 and it was exactly what we were looking for - a quiet and peaceful casa, an external terrace overlooking the sea, clean and comfortable rooms and extremely friendly hosts who speak perfect english, can arrange most things for you and also offer really good value and tasty meals. A perfect place to... More

We were so lucky to have found this beach house. Very nice family, great food, clean, and a back patio with a pretty great view of the ocean. You know your life is good when you find yourself having a two-hour breakfast, drinking Cuban coffee and looking at the sea! The owners set us up with a great diver (Juan)... More

We had a very relaxing stay at Casa El Capitan. The beds were comfy, rooms clean and water pressure in the shower good. It is the perfect place to sit on the veranda and chill. The sun set from the balcony was beautiful. The hosts were lovely and friendly and every meal was great and there was always more food... More
