Truth be told, we have stayed at better casas throughout our trip in Cuba, but nowhere compared to the family feeling and the personal warmth they extended to us during our stay there. Carlos was exceptionally friendly and considerate and his pre-arrival emails prepared us for a smooth check-in and he informed us of everything that we needed to be... More

We booked at Gil's after spotting his address on the Lonely Planet. We were not much confident because at the time there was only one available room, and all other accommodation were booked, but we got our place. Gil has been very nice, he came to pick us up at Viazul station and helped us to his house. Immediately upon... More

When we entered this casa, we were simply amazed by the beauty of this lovely colonial house. It was just like a journey in time. The fully restored house has is old furniture evrywhere, classical music in the background, a beautiful patio and - most important - wonderful people living inside. Carlos, his wife and his son are really interesting... More

An incredible house - you will not be able to believe when you are here and looking around that it is 2014, as the sense of history and tradition is so impressively preserved. We stayed for three nights. Every morning we got a lovely fresh breakfast & drinks. The location is very central: the parallel street to one on which... More

This mazing colonial house is more a museum than a casa particular; not surprisingly, groups of tourists can be seen regularly just outside the door taking pictures of the place, and they are also welcome to visit the great hall of the interior and appreciate the great antique pieces of furniture and design that the family has preserved with such... We very much enjoyed our stay in this casa. The house is an old colonial casa that has been transmitted from generation to generation. It is simply breathtaking and probably the most beautiful casa we stayed in during our trip to cuba. The house is also furnished with beautiful antique pieces that have been in the family. It is conveniently... More

Staying at this casa with Senor Gil, Senora Sofia and their family was a real insight into Trinidad life and a very memorable experience. The perfect place from which to explore the town and its surrounds. Our room was basic but very comfortable. The 400 year old casa with its beautiful high ceilings, open living areas and antique tiles has... More

We arrived quite late to this casa however we received a warm welcome and shown around the casa by Mr Gil's son. Their house is stunning, Mr Gil showed us his English China. Our room was a good size, very clean with air conditioning and fans. They are currently renovating parts of this casa so the bathroom was outside however... More

Strangely it is hard to come across a really good coffee in Cuba. This is not the case in the Lemes family casa. Each morning a nice pot of coffee with a jug of warm milk was served for breakfast - so nice to have a pot for a second or third cup. Breakfast was served in the stunning tropical... More
