Absolutly great place to stay! Carlos and his family where great hosts. His suggestions for dinner where spot on (Restaurant "La Ceiba"!)! Breakfast was the best, freshly pressed/mixed juice, plate of fruits of the season, eggs (however you like them!) and bread, simply magnificent. The room was great, with AC and a ventilator, which suficed for us.

My family and I rented 3 rooms at Casa Albalat in August 2014. Coming from Havana where we had a bad experience renting a flat, this house made a nice impression. It was exactly what I expected: clean and spacious, and friendly. Carlos and his family were great hosts. We felt relaxed, almost at home.

We stayed for 3 nights in this quaint old colonial house full of antiques, exceptionally well located in Trinidad. Clean rooms, hot water, air con, rooms fully equipped with 220 volt power points, a luxury to be able to recharge and use electrical items. We felt really at home in their house, like part of the family. Carlos is a character... More

This guy is as dishonest casa owner. After booking this casa three months before our arrival to Trinidad and at least two confiramtion emails from Carlos when we arrived we found out that for one night he wants us to move to another casa. As we objected (beeing very tired and just craving for some rest) he offerd us a... More

We stayed back in Dec 12 (been a little lazy putting up the review!). We stayed for 5 nights and we couldn't fault the place (well, im sure we could but this is Cuba!). We had TWO double beds which was great as it was soooo hot it meant we could have our own space. Although he spoke very limited... More

I stayed at this casa particular for 4 nights. The location is good, in the centre of town and within walking distance of Plaza Mayor (5 min) and most of the other points of interest in Trinidad. The room was comfortable with a large bed, nightstand, fridge, fan and attached bathroom with a good flow of water from the shower... More

We (family of 4) enjoyed very much our stay with Carlos and his family. It was New Year eve and we shared a whole pig that Carlos and his brother in law spent all day cooking . Delicious. Vegetarians would have enjoyed the plantanas, salads, rice and beans , yukka and the dessert. Great guava fruit juices in the morning.... More

I could not fault this Casa. We stayed in one of the upstairs rooms and it was spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds anda beatuiful outdoor patio, not to mention the beautiful terrace! The food here was superb, the Lobster was devine! The Casa has a very relaxed atmosphere and nothing was a problem. Thanks for helping to make our... More
