Absolutely fantastic, the views from our studio apartment were amazing, the apartment was beautiful I enjoyed my much needed holiday. Thank you to the lodge staff and the manager whom went out of their way to accomodate us on our stay. I recommend to anyone a piece of paradise

We decided last minute to spend last weekend on Waiheke Island. We booked the 'house' at Tawa Lodge - 2 bedrooms, enormous lounge and fabulous views from Blackpool to Oneroa. We were picked up from the ferry (bonus!) and the staff couldn't help enough. Staff are based down the hill at Punga Lodge, but there is a phone in the... More

We stayed at Tawa Lodge in the Studio apartment on the 15th and 16th December 2013. We were welcomed and shown around-the view from our studio was just incredible. Waking up to the sound of Tui and hearing a More Pork Owl at night was beautiful. A short walk down the hill to Oneroa town with super cafes and restaurants... More

We arrived on Waiheke without pre-booking accommodation. The very helpful & friendly 'Mandy', at tourist info. directed us to Tawa Lodge. We chose a studio room, mid-week $140 a night. No staff, or breakfast on site. We were picked up by friendly owner, given the run down & never saw any staff again. There were other occupied rooms on a... More

This place has great views,i stayed in the b and b room number 3,the problem with the rooms is that they are really close together,so you can hear everything, the person next door was a loud snorer,so it was not nice having too listen too that all night! Im sure the other rooms at tawa are better.

We loved our characteristic little B&B Room at Tawa Lodge. It has great character and the shared bathroom is pleasant and private - sharing with just two other rooms means there was never any waiting. Dyan, the owner, is a lovely host and graced us with home baking. Recommend highly.

Stayed at Tawa lodge. Great room, fantastic views and helpful staff. Cheap as chips too - a third the rate of some apartments on the same street but with better views. Meals not included but plenty of places to eat in town which is a five minute walk. Staff in Onerora tourist information incredibly friendly and helpful too. We'll definitely... More

We stayed in the Aroma Del Mare Cottage at a cost of ~$240 a night and were not that impressed. On arrival we were presented with a welcome platter and breakfast for the next morning from an amazing host. Unfortunately, that's where the good stuff stopped. On day 2 no breakfast was provided, and no staff were around to ask... More

We stayed here for a night in one of the bed & breakfast rooms. We were charged $100 for the night and were given an amazing breakfast basket in the morning. We had access to kitchen facilities, a big spotless bathroom (with hairdryer incl.) and a stunning outdoor BBQ grassed area that overlooked the ocean. The lodge was quiet, private... More

Our first stay on Waiheke was wonderful and Kevin at Tawa Lodge was very helpful and obliging. Thanks for the Antipasto treats, bottle of "Bubbles" and the continetal breakfasts. The Lodge was adequate although a little dated, the bed was comfortable and clean towels were left for each day. Also thanks to Dyan for the delicious afternoon tea.
