A family gathering from all over NZ necessitated a group booking. I booked a Studio apartment with twin beds. The illustration looked spacious - not so! Small deck with ONE chair, smallish lounge but ok for 2 people. However for the tariff I definitely would have expected free wifi - not so! The TV didn't work and there was NO... More

With 18 people travelling to NZ - Waiheke, we required good accommodation within close proximity; the resort fit the bill and the budget for a peak period. Like ChrisP from Christchurch stated in his review, it is very hilly & mountain goat stamina is a minimum requirement. Over our 4 x days, we found the staff to be more than... More

I arrived at the resort by bus and towed my case up the steep slopes to reception at the top of the site and checked in. I was given directions to the unit that involved carrying my case down 89 steps. The receptionist couldn't see that this was not a reasonable thing to expect someone in their seventieth to do.... Rather than staying in Auckland on our last night in New Zealand (travelled back to UK), we decided to take the car on the ferry to Waiheke Island where we stayed at Waiheke Island Resort. The staff were extremely accommodating and the villa itself surpassed expectations. What a pleasure to be woken by birdsong and to look out over the... More

Not the cheapest property on the island by a long way but the view was stunning. Villa was OK, clean and well presented and the air conditioning worked well to reduce the temperature. For the price paid I would expect free internet access. The people in the villa nearby sounded like a herd of elephants when they walked around

Very disappointed, whilst our villa was perfectly alright we feel it is overpriced at $240. No microwave, no champagne flutes, no bottle opener, bad instant coffee. Our main concern was how we were greeted upon our arrival. Very hard to find reception, when we finally did no staff around upon finding a staff member, really was not helpful. As we... More

We stayed over the christmas period and really enjoyed our stay here. We had a few hiccups when we are arrived with the room but they were dealt with efficiently and quickly by the hotel staff who were extremely nice, relaxed but efficient. The room we stayed in had been totally renovated and was fantastic for the family, the view... More

We were 2 of us and we have stayed here for 2 nights, I think it was very good and we had no problems at all, but the only thing I found a bit disappointing was the view, I was told that all rooms have sea view but the view I expected was way too much I guess. And u... More

Booked a last minute and stayed in a studio apartment. Nice view out to sea but that was the only positive. We came back to the hotel at 8pm hoping to get a drink at the bar but the entire place was closed. As in locked up, no lights on. Nothing seemed to be open; no bar, no restaurant. Too... More

We stayed in room 32, which overlooks Palm Beach. It was a lovely view but we could hear feet stomping and shuffling from the residents in the room upstairs. The bed and sofa were very comfortable. Air-conditioning works well and we used the oven to reheat our pizza. However, the bathroom had a weird stench when we turned on the... More
