Amazing boutique hotel experience. Sharon and the staff are lovely and made our experience one to remember. The lodge is homey and impeccably appointed with a nautical theme fitting of the setting. The food and drinks were excellent and the location was a great launching point to explore the island. We will definitely be back.

This was our second stay at the Boatshed and we will return. The property is beautiful, welcoming and quite luxurious. The staff is wonderful and very accommodating. You are 35 min from Auckland but in a different world. The Boatshed staff provide transportation from the ferry to the hotel and return. The food is fabulous serve and wine tasting is... More

Waiheke is a beautiful island easily accessed by ferries from Aukland Harbour. Within three hours of touching down we were welcomed by Sharon and settled into armchairs on the terrace drinking delicious local wine. Our Boatshed room was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. What made this boutique hotel so memorable for us during our four day stay was the friendly... More

We stayed here for the last 3 nights of a two week vacation before returning home to Canada. What a wonderful boutique hotel! Sharon, Jonathon and all the staff made us feel right at home, welcoming us with wine, cheese treats and an amazing harvest from their beautiful garden. The Boatshed is located above Little Oneroa Beach and a short... More

Wow, The Boatshed is incredible! My husband and I felt so spoilt staying there, we stayed for two nights following our wedding and we couldn't have chosen a better place. We stayed in the Lighthouse which was very relaxing, had beautiful views and decor and was very romantic. I recommend having dinner there - we enjoyed a delicious, gourmet five... More

We couldn't have chosen a better place to start our discovery of NZ - small, intimate, classy, beautifully and tastefully decorated with lots of bleached teak - friendly and very helpful staff, delicious gourmet meals cooked by Jonathan and Adam. We felt really spoilt and would love to return!

THE best place on the island to be treated with the care and comfort a human being deserves while not being treated like a simple commercial commodity. Trust me, me and my better half went to a flashier place too, but the hospitality was only so-so. The whole staff knows what it means to make far travelers feel welcomed and... More

Beautiful, quaint place, thoughtfully decorated. Every time I looked at a corner, I saw something new that caught my eye. Great view of Little Oneroa beach, watching the sailboats. A spectacular garden, from which the very fine dining emerged. Well worth the trip from California just to go there. The staff was fabulous, almost made me feel like family. This... More

Welcome bubbles & cheese; greeted by the local visiting kitten Lady Emma who may well come and grace you with her presence again, or not, depending on her kittenish mood; lapping waves not far away; big blue skies; delicious and filling dinner; lovely hospitality from the owners through to the kitchen staff; beautiful and make-you-feel-horticulturally-challenged garden which provides the kitchen...
