I wouldn't say that the professional photos of the Park Regis are a lie but they are quite far from my experience, making the hotel look massive and very grand. We stayed in a very tired room with a horrible bathroom with chipped basin etc and a very tired kitchen area. The location was fine but then I think almost... More

Dear 342Jenny Thank you for taking the time to post your review. Our hotel has 48 guest rooms, the Boatshed Bar, Chartroom Restaurant and the only heated outdoor pool in Picton. I am sorry if you feel this is reflected incorrectly in our photos of the hotel. One of the great aspects of TripAdvisor and other such online forums is... More

I stayed at the Park Regis in Picton recently and would not stay again. If you decide to stay, don't leave towels or clothes on the floor of the bathroom when having a shower, because they have a silly lip which doesn't contain the water, consequently you end up with wet clothes. Also I was kept awake most of the... More

Read mixed reviews because there is an old half and a renovated half (use to be called the Mecure). Location was perfect for walk to shops, restaurants and the harbour. We took the ferry from Wellington to Picton and just wheeled our luggage a few blocks from the terminal to the hotel. We stayed the night before and another night... More

Our superior room was spacious, clean & modern with a lovely harbour & pool view. We didn't use the restaurant, but had room service, & unfortunately the food was only lukewarm when it arrived.. The only other criticism was that children were brought in from outside to use the pool late afternoon & they made it noisy & we had... More

Stayed here only for 1 night. We didn't use the Restaurant facilities so can't comment on that. You have the choice of booking an upgraded room so only your fault is you get the un renovated ones. Just pay the extra $20 or $25. Room was clean and comfortable with a nice view. Close to everything, can't complain thought it... More

On the plus side, we had a clean, spacious room with a nice view and service was good. Breakfast was average. Most rooms have balconies but ours didn't. The negatives - no air conditioning and noisy, both between rooms and from flags flapping outside.

Great location of this 3 star hotel right in the heart of the town of Picton. Within easy reach to the ferries terminals, marinas and restaurants. Rooms are a bit worn and old but good size, comfortable sleep. Even though I was a solo traveler I had 2 single beds and a double bed in the bathroom was quite large.... More

I stayed here for one night as I was catching the ferry in the morning. I got the cheapest room they had, which they explained had not being redecorated. The tv was unwatchable, the reception on it was like something from the 80s when you had a set of rabbits ears sitting on top of your telly. The swimming pool... More
