Stayed here for one night after cancelling out of an air bnb because of its location. This place has extremely comfortable beds, great bathrooms, clean, warm and cosy and is in excellent location, 500 metres to downtown Picton. The host was very generous and assisted us with our luggage and transportation. Highly recommend it ... Pene.

What a little gem. Quaint describes it perfectly. The couple travelling with us likened it to B & B’s in Ireland. If you are looking for 5 Star with full buffet breakfast, do not come here. What you get for this amazing budget price is excellent service, small but adequate clean room, the best continental breakfast with plunger coffee. Amazing freshly baked quiche, so much more than expected. Manager assisted us with our baggage, also with transportation to our ferry. All with a smile. Thank you Admiral’s Lodge for your care from room 11.

There is a certain charm about this place and it is very convenient to the ferry. The room is small, with a (small) table and chair set, but it is clean and has an old-fashioned homey feel to it. There is a fridge, kettle, tea and coffee, and a comfortable bed. The owners are lovely and, as they are fairly new to the business, seem open to input as to how to improve. My only comment regarding this would be that the internet needs ramping up; it does connect after awhile, but could be much better. There is a continental breakfast provided, which we didn't have, but it looked as if there were choices which add to making the Admirals Lodge good value for the money.

We had a lovely stay here. The room was comfy, clean and cheap AND breakfast was included. Reception was very friendly and helpful. It's a quaint old-style hotel close to shops, eateries and the ferry terminal. There is a lounge for guests with loads of reading material, Sky TV and very comfy couches. The only drawback is that the only way to the rooms is via the stairs which could present a problem for people with mobility issues. Would happily stay here again.

Convenient for the ferry is the only positive point I can find. I was there with a friend, we did not feel welcome; the room for 2 was very small with only one chair that we had to use as a bedside table, the basin was in the bedroom, the decor very tired. We had a look in the kitchen/dining room and decided we could not face the breakfast there.

Very nice atmosphere. Close to shops, ferry and restaurants around. Manager is pleasant and very active. Breakfast is included and good. There are stairs to get to the rooms and taking heavy luggage could not be heathy. Parking is limited on site if not there is street parking.

We chose this residence for it’s location close to the ferry because we were leaving on the first ferry. The place is larger than it looks, with a nautical theming. The property is not particularly modern, and that gives it a quaint feel. Breakfast is available, but is a self-serve affair. We were comfortable for our night here.
