This is a lovely peaceful place a few miles from the ferry terminal at Picton. We only stayed one night before getting the early ferry but we'd have loved to stay for longer. The motel is small, but the rooms are big enough and well appointed, in our case with a separate bedroom. The wifi works, the staff are pleasant... More

You get a warm welcome including home made cookies here. Clean rooms but they are really dated with very old furniture. The owner will also let you take out his kayak free of charge. The area is beautiful, but nowhere nearby to eat. I think it is a little expensive for the quality of room, but great location.

Thank you for taking the time to review our Motel. We do not state anywhere that we are a new Motel and we go to a lot of trouble to show guests exactly what we offer , also we post many, many photo's to show our units. When booking it is important to book a unit suited to yourself and... More

Arrived to a really warm welcome from Tomoko. Have a lovely room that whilst dated is lovely and clean and well painted. The kitchen has everything- even a full cooker! A great location for both the ferry and exploring the area in a lovely bay. Great home made biscuits!

The taps had separate cold and hot taps so I could not use warm water :( The showers were like this also however the shower water pressure was very strong which was very good! The homemade biscuits were something I was looking forward to by reading reviews previously, and they were beyond expectation! However the rooms were not as soundproof... More

Location right on the water, and the owner/manager - what a SUPER NICE guy - we were to arrive late, close to 10pm, he said no problem, will wait for you. It's not super modern, outdated furniture, but you feel like you were staying at aunt - uncle's place. Clean, serves the purpose. I just didn't like not having screens... More

We had given up all hope finding anywhere to stay in Picton after a gruelling journey when the kind lady at I-site found us this VERY reasonably priced accommodation. It got better! When we arrived, our charming host served us( with the milk) a dish of the most delicious biscuits baked by his equally delightful wife! My husband thought he'd... More

We stayed there for two nights and regret it. Booked online and were looking forward to our stay because of all the good comments on Tripadvisor. But when we saw our apartment we were shocked. Everything was so old and stunk. The unit was well equipped, but the TV had only the a couple of channels, internet was fee-based, the... More

Thank you for your comments regarding your recent stay at Beachside Sunnyvale Motel.. I am sorry that your room did not meet your expectations. You had booked a twin unit yet we could have easily changed this to a queen had you asked. We do not advertise ourselves as a new Motel and our low rate reflects this. I presume... More

I've been coming here for over 12 years and expect to be returning for the same. Pleasant place to stay - recently updated their older style to a fresh new decor - well done chaps. Good clean rooms - with access to a lovely park (free gas barbeque there) and good fishing off the pier. The staff seem friendly and... More

Clean, fresh and good value, hosts were welcoming, hospitable and friendly. We have stayed here several times since 2000, and will come again in December 2013 , and it has continuously improved. It is close to seaside/beach/jetties and amenities, and prices are low - very low compared to others in the region. Peaceful and calming environs - BTW Lee S's... More

What a lovely place! Nice and quiet, with the most charming hosts. A lovely outlook over Waikawa Bay. The rooms have just been upgraded, and are very homely.Throughly recommended. Took out one of their kayaks for a paddle in the bay, very relaxing !
