A few minutes drive from the ferry; close to town but off the main road in a sheltered setting with bush reserve to one side. What a pleasant change to have spotless facilities. When we decided to extend our stay, the cabins were mostly booked, but management did everything to make our move easy, allowing us to sleep in until... More

We stayed for 3 nites in a tent first weekend of March. We were able to choose any site we wanted powered or non-powered. I was stunned by how spotlessly clean the toilets, showers, kitchen etc were. They had everything we could have wanted and there were some pots/utensils etc there to use, but I am guessing they are left... More

We stayed at Waikawa Bay after taking a late night ferry. Arriving late was no issue. We had booked a cabin, which was clean, well furnished and even had a tv. Very decent pricing too. The holiday park is not next to the beach but very close to a lovely bay. The only downside was that the cabins a quite... More

We stayed at Waikawa Bay Holiday Park for 6 nights in a Kitchen Cabin, at the top of the park with a view to the Marina during January 2013, in the peak season. We have stayed at many holiday parks, during our numerous visits to the South Island of NZ, and the Waikawa Bay Holiday Park, is among the best.... More

We stayed in a cabin at the top of the park. Cabin was clean and tidy and had everything you need. Kids loved running around on the grass out the front, feeding the ducks. Holiday parks are about a laid back atomsphere and reading some these reviews some people forget this! Who cares if the owner is in her PJ's... More

Have to spend time in Picton for work and always choose to stay in a self contained unit at the park. Prefer it over a hotel as has all the comforts and convenience of home, with very pleasant surrounding and very friendly owners and staff. Great location for a morning jog with awesome views.

We were worried on arrival as the park itself doesn't rate when comparing to a Top Ten, setting that aside it was a great stay with our cabin being right up the back of the park it had terrific views to the Sound. Very clean and quiet, handy for anyone crossing to the North Is. Felicity in the office is... More

Basic cabin: Arrived late at night from the ferry to Picton and left early in the morning for Christchurch. But in the time that we were there. It's close to the Picton ferry port so very handy. Cabins basic but functional with T&C facilities. Nice little site that is close to some stunning bays and scenery. If we were to... More

Presently living at the camp owing to a change of lifestyle and wanting to see the south island in the future. Lovely quiet camp (although its the time of year), amenities so clean and tidy and the showers are non metered. Owners blend in with their occupants. Grounds are kept lovely and tidy and the ladies who look after the... More
