Stayed here last night, we arrived late (around 12.30 midnight) and had a little map to follow so we could find our room. The beds are nice to sleep on and bathrooms are clean and tidy! I loved that they are so welcoming and it has such a relaxing feel. The complimentary breakfast really was a bonus too!! Good price... More

I stayed in the en suite double and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the accommodation bearing in mind the very reasonable price. The breakfast was perfectly adequate. The owners very helpful about trips etc in the local area. Also we borrowed the free bikes - good fun.

Not expensive, but very luxurious. Everything is quality, free breakfast is delicious, free wifi is fast, cats are cute... This is the first time I see a treadmill in a backpack ! Only two nights for me but I want to come back.

This really is not much like a hostel in terms of standards, more like a little boutique hotel, with the pleasant vibe of a hostel I loved the tombstone theme, with the coffin shaped door to reception and the skull keys. yes I am a bit of a goth, so slightly biased, however as a qualified interior designer I have... Clean, Quiet, great Views, hot tub, free Wi Fi and free breakfast. One of the best places I have stayed in and had a great night sleep. While in Picton stay here. Kitchen and common area are very good for socializing with other travelers. The owner is very friendly and gave me a ride to to ferry station,

The best hostel we have ever been - we felt very welcome & it had everything from hot spa, pool table, piano, guitars, lounge & movie room, beautiful rooms, hair dryer, fresh cheese scones for breakfast and the list goes on and on. Incredibly tidy and clean! We fell in love with this ho(s)tel!!!

Great friendly lady behind the counter who welcomed us in from the cold. This is a great place to stay if you need to catch the ferry. You get your own towels and separate keys especially if there are two of you. Great kitchen facilities clean and wonderful. Would highly recommend.!

After reading all the 5 star reviews here on Tripadvisor it became clear that I had to stay here before catching the ferry to Wellington. Well I'm glad I gave this hostel a chance because this has to be the best hostel that I've stayed at in NZ. The owner Lynne was extremely helpful in answering any questions that I... More

Beautiful property and lovely staff. We have stayed here for 2 nights and we felt very welcome. Yummy free breakfast, free PC, free pool, free hot tub and free WI FI and beautiful apartments! This is how a hostel should be like! After spending almost 2 months in plenty of different hostels, this one is the best one in NZ!!!

As other reviews have attested, this is an amazing property. I suspect it's critics could argue that by not being in the downtown core it's location is a handicap, but with free shuttle, or a short walk to town this is hardly a problem. The outstanding view of Picton, the harbour and surrounding hills makes the slightly out of downtown... More
