My wife and I recently stayed at escape to picton and it was by far the best dining experience and hotel combination for our entire trip to New Zealand. The restaurant is outstanding, and the owner goes above and beyond to make you feel at home and comfortable during your stay. Places like this are a rarity and finding one... More

Wonderful meal. Staff great. Absolutely guest focused by both staff and owner. Had a wonderful meal and shown the rooms. Would highly recommend staying here rather than going through to Blenheim. We will definitely do this next time.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful quaint bed-and-breakfast. We stayed in the formal room which was elegant with a fantastic bath tub. The staff was friendly and attentive. The chilled champaign was a nice welcome. The food in the restaurant was excellent. We'll tell our friends and definitely go back!

I wanted to treat myself,so i booked a room upstairs. ...OMG...Every little detail has been thought about, from the very large king bed to the gorgeous bed linen, from the lovely stand alone bath to luxurious bath robes....i realised the owner stayed upstairs, but i had complete privacy in my room, i never felt the owner intrusive one bit, infact... This is someones house that has been converted into a 'hotel' with a tiny bar downstairs... the lady who owns the place sleeps upstairs with a thin wall between the guests and her room. Not sure how this place has gotten its rating, but be very careful if you want some privacy as the owner is always wandering around.

Hello Debra, I am abit shocked by this review, as we are an old bank not a house. We have a medium sized bar and restaurant. I am certainly not always wandering around and in one of the recent reviews customers wanted to see staff here more so I am unsure of what you are talking about. Yes I live... More

We were upgraded to the Formal Suite and when we entered our room...we were hit with the WOW factor, it was truly awe inspiring!. The beautiful king bed, luxury furnishings and that bath, all of it was just stunning. From the moment we arrived we enjoyed exceptional service from the owner and her staff. The restaurant dining was fantastic and... More

We stayed in the Formal Suite as it was my birthday so thought we'd treat ourselves and all I can say is wow! I literally gasped when I walked in. Every little detail is thought about and the room is huge and has an fantastic luxury feel. The bathroom with the large claw bath in the middle is a jaw... More

Me and my husband booked this hotel on booking.com and stayed in the Sea room. We arrived around 6pm from the Wellington ferry so were glad this hotel was so close by after a long journey. We had a fantastic welcome from the owner. We had a fantastic dinner in the hotel restaurant where the owner also cooks - the... More

We stayed at Escape to Picton over the weekend. Such a beautiful setting, gorgeous food and great hospitality. It was a great start to our holiday in such a special location. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting some pampering in one of NZ's best locations. Thank you Escape to Picton! Just Magic!
