We stayed with Annette and Chris for 2 nights in early April. Our room was very comfortable, and I loved the olive soaps and handwash in the bathroom. The view was beautiful with a nice little balcony and if it hadn't been raining it would have been great to sit on the big deck coming off the house that looked... More

My wife and I stayed for one night after flying in to Christchurch. Take a tip - stay for a min of 2 nights to enjoy Akaroa and the Banks Peninsula. We had a lovely welcome with coffee and home made treats. We were also treated to a lovely glass of wine and olives from Annette and Chris' own estate... More

Annette and Chris made us feel welcome on arrival and were most attentive to our needs. Breakfast cooked by Annette was lovely and fresh. Our bed was comfortable and bathroom had all necessities. Very pleasant sitting on our balcony enjoying the view and reading in the afternoon. Our room was a bit small with almost nowhere to store suitcases after... More

Chris and Annette have managed to get the balance exactly right between being attentive hosts and giving their guests privacy. My husband is a reluctant B&B guest, as when we are on holiday he usually likes to be able to relax and not have to make conversation with strangers over breakfast, and so it was with some trepidation that I... My mother and I stayed at Tthe Olive Grove for 2 nights and found Chris and Annette to be exceptional hosts. On arrival at The Olive Grove, we were treated to a glass of wine and a tasting of Chris & Annettes award winning olive oil. The flavour and texture of the olive oil was so good and so were... More

Our first impression of this amazing b&b was breathtaking! Our room was not only perfectly comfortable, but the balcony view of the mountains and olive groves made us wish we had booked a longer stay. Chris and Annette were wonderful hosts and made us feel right at home. The breakfasts were very fresh each morning and gave us variety as... More

This B&B is high above Akaroa harbour at the bottom of a working olive grove; the view makes it well worth the climb to the top. Our room was small but the bed was comfortable and the surrounding area was extremely quiet. Our room did not have a view of the spectacular harbour, but others probably have. Our hosts were... More

The Olive Grove was our final and probably the best accommodation of our trip. Annette and Chris are capable and able hosts providing a special atmosphere, tea on the balcony to drinks before dinner all contribute to a wonderful experience stay here if possible its worth it.

I stayed here en-route to Picton. The owners Chris and Annette are charming. It's just outside Akaroa which is a delightful town settled by the French in the 1800's. you can be sure of a warm welcome - delightful hosts, clean beautifully decorated rooms with super views and a taster of their home grown olives with a glass of wine.... My husband and I stayed here at the end of an amazing trip to new Zealand and this place was just the icing on the cake.
