Was shouted an overnight stay at the L'abri B&B by family .Location was great even though I know the area well. On top of knob overlooking Takamatu Harbour, for a fantastic view, Unit is part of the house, 3 years old with modern facilities and use of houise kitchen and lounge. Chooks, catts, roosters ( Auto alarm ) and gardens,... More

The committement and talent is all testament to Jane who has turned this site into a boutique B & B. A beautiful country garden, both decorative and productive , the fruit tress and berry patches are producing well, and the chickens continue to flourish. Always a restful place to stay and handy to all that the Banks Peninsula has to offer.... More

The cottage at L'abri has provided us with a series of wonderful breaks away from the stress of the quakes in Christchurch. We have been back five times now and love the peaceful tranquility of the beaufitul gardens and surrounding views, coupled with the benefit of having all the attractions at Akaroa less than five minutes away. The cottage itself... More

This is a lovely gem of a bed and breakfast. We had a beautiful room which was designed in a French provincial style with a spectacular view straight out to Banks Peninsula. The delightful gardens are right next to your room and frame the property. My husband and I enjoyed chatting to the host and exploring the little township. We... More

L'Abri B & B was the last stop of our 2 week NZ holiday, Akaroa is a beautiful place and we loved our stay at L'Abri with panoramic views of the bay. The house was built a few years ago as a B & B and has two rooms on either side of the lounge/kitchen living area so quite private.... More

L’Abri has two B&B rooms and a cottage, we stayed at the cottage. The owner is a friendly lady. We enjoyed sitting outside the cottage on the small veranda, surrounded by pretty flowers. We were able to see the water of Akaroa Harbour at the end of the street. Inside the cottage has a charming historic feel. The provided continental... More

We felt like we had Martha Stewart of New Zealand taking care of us - Jane was awesome. The house was "purpose built" to be a B&B with two suites at opposite ends providing tons of privacy. There is also a self contained cottage on the property. It overlooks the bay from up on a hill with panoramic view of... More

A stone's throw from bustling Akaroa and its great restaurants but a world away in terms of its comfort, great views of the harbour and restfulness. An ideal stop in a busy schedule. More

L'Abri is a haven set in a beautiful garden overlooking a special part of Akaroa harbour. Tasteful decor & delicious food as well as the care and attention I received while relaxing here made my visit memorable. It is a retreat where I will definitely be returning. More
