We were looking forward to a nice weekend alone and choose "The Spa Hotel" in Arvika. It is soooo not good! The bathroom was old and the shower fell down as I touched it and nobody could repair it, water all over the floor etc. etc. We didn´t find the staff very friendly either and that was a bit disappointing...

This is a nice, cosy Swedish hotel. Great breakfasts, reasonably good sized rooms. But beware of the opening hours of the spa - the hotel advertises itself as a "hotel and spa", but the spa is actually CLOSED from 21.00 on Satuday until 15.00 on Mondays!

The hotel looks a little run down from the outside but it is in the process of being referbished. The roomsa re small but clean and tidy. It is probably the best hotel in the town and is busy for lunch and dinner.
