We stayed at this hotel for a week in April. Although our room did not overlook the river it had a balcony, was clean and adequate but the beds were a little hard. For - Large room, nice view from balcony. Against - Breakfast stale bread; stick to croissants - don’t touch orange juice loads of E numbers. Rooms - it is not until you drop a contact lens that you realise how dusty a room is !! more

Tavira is a great quieter alternative to Faro etc along the Algarve. Residencial Mares is on the main restaurant strip along the river's edge. Everything about this place is great!
