Our first (and last) experience with Portugal took place in 2009 and was not a very nice one. This summer we've spent our holiday in Casa Verdazul and we were hoping for a better experience compared to last time. And better it was..... The location itself is nice and quiet, the hosts Graham and Monique are friendly and kind, the... More

We have given ourselves the opportunity to stay at Casa Verdazul a number of times in the recent years. Nice and central with friendly hosts in a relaxed atmosphere. Over the years we met several of the other guests, who have since been lasting friendships. Meeting each other here, over and over again. Quiet nights socializing in the garden. Lazy... More

This place is ok at first glance but we have stayed in far nicer places in Portugal for a little less money per night and with better overall service. It is very off the beaten track and quiet. We stayed for 6 days and our room wasn't cleaned once during our stay. The room itself was spacious and fairly (but... More

Thank you for your review, we take all comments very seriously and regret that our accommodation did not live up to expectations. Regarding the location - we are NOT off the beaten track, there is a village with a very good restaurant, two grocery stores, a pharmacy a café and a post office only 500 meters from the guesthouse. Our first trip to Portugal, to go walking in the hills and steer clear of the tourists. This is an ideal spot for doing that: spacious, immaculate, fantastic coastal views, excellent facilities. Graeme and Monique are warm, friendly and very helpful; they made us feel instantly welcome. Nestled away in the hills, it's still very convenient for Tavira and for... More

We stayed for a couple of nights and loved this property. The rooms are spacious and each has its own kitchen, a private patio and they also have a couple of barbecues around the pool area. The property is very well taken care of, great decor in the rooms, brand new bathrooms, very tastefully done and great landscape around the... More

The Guesthouse is run by Monique en Graeme, who -together with their son Joe- are are really friendly people. We had an immediate instant liking for the laid-back and open way they welcome us as their guests. As a familiy of five with kids of 7 and 4 (2x) it was wonderful to have a place that is convenieunt for... More
