Both work and leisure take me all over the world and my jaundiced eye doesn’t often look over a hotel/guesthouse without finding something I don't like. Well, this small boutique guesthouse is one that in my opinion manages gets everything right. In a quiet location nestling amongst citrus groves about 10min drive from the hustle and bustle of the Algarve... more

We could not believe our luck when we stumbled upon this amazing B&B. From the moment we arrived the welcome was amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Every room is styled to perfection with the focus on the detail mind blowing. Sofia is an amazing hostess, her enthusiasm for the area is truly infectious and she gave us some... more

This is the first time I have hestitated to write a review for fear of losing a gem, but TA has helped me so many times, so here goes: This is the best place my wife and I have ever been in Europe and we have been to about three dozen hotels. Beautiful decor, design, bathrooms, personal service, hearty breakfasts,... more

We stayed for 3 nights here in February - really lovely place - rooms are so clean and modern, beautifully decorated. Sophia the owner/host is very enthuasiastic and attentive. It is set in lovely grounds, surrounded by fields of orange trees. One night we could hear the chorus of frogs from seemingly miles around it was that quiet! The one... more

We stayed here for 3 nights at the start of our holiday, and booked it after reading a review in Conde Nast Traveller. The rooms are wonderful, with lots of little touches like chocolates, fresh fruit and mineral water. We had a lovely little terrace with views over the surrounding countryside. Sophia is a wonderful host and very knowledgeable about... more

My wife and I had a fantastic five nights at Vilacampina. Sofia and her team are superb hosts and we could not fault their hotel or their hospitality. A little off the beaten track and set amongst beautiful citrus and olive groves, this is the perfect spot for a few days away from the hustle and bustle. Although children are... more

We stayed at the Vila Campina for 5 nights and wished we had stayed many nights more. The Vila, set in the countryside 8 kms from Tavira and 2kms from the beach, is very chic and stylish and you are made to feel totally at home by Sofia the owner, and her staff - nothing is too much for them... more

The breakfasts cater for every taste . Sofia, the owner, could not be more helpful and informative. Tavira is pretty and there are ample choices... more

we spent about 2-3 days here in september 2005, and what a wonderful find this place was! tucked away in the agricultural fields of tavira, vilacampina is hard to find, but worth the extra effort. make sure you arrive in the daytime, and expect to stop in the heart of tavira to ask for directions. the guesthouse is best described... more
