Greatly appreciated this conveniently located, cheap, basic but clean accommodation. Warm welcome and great tips for lunch and dinner. Nice view across river. They even printed off my boarding pass and delivered it to my room. Honesty bar and offer to store items in fridge greatly appreciated. With windows closed only very slight road noise. Thanks Liliana and Miguel for... More

Budget hotel in the heart of Tavira just by the river. Everything you need is in walking distance. Very friendly staff, large clean rooms, free Wifi, even after checkout. Breakfast is not served but nice cafes with all kinds of options are just around the corner.

This little place is in a fabulous location right along the river and There is a car park 200m away (beside the bus depot which is across the street from the hotel). It's an easy walk to loads of restaurants, pubs, shopping, and attractions. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are simple, clean, and nice (comfy beds,... More

It was a pleasant stay at VIVA RIO. Nicely located and at a walkable distance to all major attractions in Tavira and a friendly and available staff. Expect no luxuries or extras. No-frills chic defines it. Don't forget to seize the terrace. :-)

The owner of Viva Rio describes his accommodation as 'cheap and chic' and that is exactly so. We stayed two nights in Viva Rio and thought it really good value for money. It was very clean and comfortable. The decor was modern and minimalist. The owner was very helpful in giving us information about the town and suggesting restaurants etc.... More

We stumbled upon Viva Rio by chance, as it is directly across the road from Tavira Bus Terminal. We were impressed by the friendly welcome we received from Liliana, who even went as far as to suggest alternative accommodation which might be a little cheaper. After checking the competition, we were satisfied that Viva Rio offered the best value for... More

A really special, simple and comfortable place to stay in Tavira. We stayed here for 4 nights in April. Having arrived by train we were able to walk easily through the town to Viva Rio. On arrival we had a warm and informative welcome. As requested our room had a balcony of it's own with a table and chairs. On... More
