Tavira is a small Portuguese city, situated in the east of the Algarve. It is 28 kilometres (17 miles) east of Faro and 177 kilometres (110 miles) west of Seville in Spain. Standing where the Gilão River meets the Atlantic Ocean, Tavira origins date back to the late Bronze Age, through its history, there have been Phoenician settlements in Tavira... More

We stayed in January when nights were cold but the days were sunny. Hotel is in a perfect location for sea, town and restaurants. Sebastian is a brilliant and helpful host, explains everything and willing to answer questions.Breakfast was excellent, as well. The room was different but in a good way, with a big bed and tiled bedside fitted tables.... More

We stayed in Tavira Inn, in Nov 2014 and it's a good place for a few days. The owner introduces you to the hotel then pretty much leaves you to fend for yourself. It is in a quiet area of Tavira, out of the downtown area, although fairly close to the bus station. A bit of a walk along the... More

The host was very friendly. For those who do not know Tavira, the place is very close to everything, without the usual touristy sh... Clean room. Quiet place. Wifi everywhere. Good value for money. No tv, no breakfast, what it said on the box..

We stayed 5 nights in early September in this beautiful hotel. It has such a relaxing peaceful ambiance and Sebastian made us very welcome. Our room had a balcony and en suite with soft towels and was very comfortable and tastefully decorated, in an individual style. We loved the salt water pool and regularly had a dip in the evening... The place pretends to be unique in design and to offer artistic flavour. It might have been such in the past, but now it is basically an old house, poorly maintained, furnituted with what the owner had at hand. The place and th3 rooms are not clean, 3specially the bathroom, which was obviously dirty. Towels smelled moisture. Too expensive for... More

Old and recent glory together ! Yes, yes, and very proud of it. Not every hotel gets the same... ... But surely not a plastic-fantastic place. Here I am unpretentious and like to provide a real special place to stay ! You like to clean the ocean ... please go ahed! and read previous reviews! Regards Sebastiao More

Tavira Inn was comfortable, attractive and welcoming. Sebastao welcomed us even though we arrived very late at night. The room and bed in particular was comfortable and simply furnished. The gardens around the Inn and the pool area were very attractive. Will definitely go back.

The stay in Tavira Inn was a very pleasant one, the room was very large, same for the private bathroom and the bed absolutely comfortable. The guesthouse is just outside the center (5mins walking) and 10mins from the boat which leads to the ilha de Tavira. There's also a small private pool filled with salty water. The owner is very... We had a short stay here and it was great. Sebastian was very welcoming and gave us great tips on places to eat and visit. The swimming pool is wonderful. Very reasonable price, clean and good location. Will come back soon!

Tavira Inn is a superb place to stay. It is the Masterpiece of a wonderful man Sebastiao. Sebastiao has built the place himself in the fashion of Palatial Portugal with snow white walls adorned in his own art work which is clearly inspired by the local area. The cool terracotta tiled floors keep the rooms naturally cool (we saw no... More
