We really enjoyed our stay in Tavira Inn, which has a pleasant location on the river. The train is rather loud but as others have mentioned it is quite infrequent and it even became one of our jokes as we waited for it to arrive. We chose Tavira Inn as we didn't want a large, busy hotel and were happy to have fewer facilities. A truly wonderful place! The salt water pool and the individual decor of the place combine to make Tavira Inn an idyllic getaway. The room was tastefully decorated, the shower was powerful and the bed was very comfortable. Sebastio is a great host who gave us good tips about where to eat and a complimentary drink in his private bar.... More

This place has real charm and a charming host in Sebastiao. We felt very at home. In the hot weather it was a real treat to get back to the hotel and take a swim in the pool. And great to talk to Sebastiao about his love of jazz music! HIghly recommended. More
