We stayed at Quinta da Lua in June 2015 and loved everything about this place! It felt like a hidden oasis away from everything. We spent most of our days in the beautiful garden and enjoyed the private spots with the large day beds. Our room was beautifully decorated (a lot of attention to detail!) and had great views of... VERY SAD to leave our lovely hotel today. Its quite a hard place to find which makes it even more special. We met a couple of helpful road workers who we followed to the hotel as they couldnt find it on their GPS either! The hotel has been featured in magazines which you find in one ot the Cobanas surrounding... More

Quinta da Lua is the best hotel in Tavira and in the Algarve! The owner and staff and extremely welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is remarkable, eggs made to order, muesli and greek yogurt, fresh croissants. The Quinta is absolutely beautiful, a large pool surrounded by tanning beds and a gorgeous garden. The cabanas at the beach are perfect and... More

We arrived at 20h00 having had significant difficulty finding the place. The room was not aired and smelt musty. There was only a non-English speaking worker there to meet us. Nevertheless, we unpacked our things. Eventually, the owner arrived and we explained the problem including the fact that the hotel was nowhere near Tavira despite the address. We indicated that... If you're looking for a tranquil and private getaway in Tavira, Quinta da Lua is the place for you. Nestled in a remote village, the bed and breakfast offered an elegant charm unlike many of it's counterparts in the Algarve. As you arrive in the driveway, you walk through a somewhat secret garden of its kind - flora and fauna... More

It's everything you want when on holiday from real life: tranquil, beautiful decor, clean, with laid back great service. The owner Miguel and his team are amazing. It's just the tonic! The evening meal is also well worth the money.

The first thing we noticed on our arrival was the silence. The guest house is set in a very peaceful surrounding, and despite arriving fairly late on a Friday evening, Miguel was waiting to welcome us. Our room was on the first floor and had a little balcony overlooking the pool. Our room was decorated in neutral, warm tones and... More

This guesthouse is immaculate and very tastefully laid out, the gardens and pool area have lot's of private areas. The rooms are a average size, very comfortable, and beautifully laid out and clean. We ate dinner here on a couple of evenings and the food was very good, the breakfasts are served on the terrace overlooking the pool and gardens... More

This quiet, spotless, tasteful gem in so perfect in every way. Miguel and his staff are attentive and helpful with whatever one needs. From the gardens with luxurious lounging spots, to the naturally treated swimming pool there wasn't a spot that wasn't heaven. Tucked away in an oasis of fragrant gardens, eat dinner outdoors with a spectacular chef. Also, a... More

4th visit - can only give the same glowing reviews as previously. Wonderful staff, spotlessly clean, glorious garden and pool area, spacious and comfortable room and delicious (and very healthy!) breakfasts. If you need a peaceful, relaxing place for a chilled holiday, this is it. Keep up the excellent work Miguel and the team.
