We first stayed here 3 years ago whilst on a Motor Cycle tour of Spain and Portugal, chosen because of the parking which is hard to come by in Tavira. We liked it so much that we swore to come back for a longer stay. It was just as we remembered it, beautiful gardens and very comfortable accomodation with lovely... More

Lovely place, a realy hidden gem. Very freindly people, the decoration, the garden, the swimming pool (a former watering tank), I love every detail. I will come back again for sure. Placed at entrance to Tavira from EN125 from Olhão, not far from the city center, railway station around. They provide airport transfer (very good company) and rent a car... More

We drove around in circles for a bit before finding Quinta do Caracol .... which made our entry so much more wonderful .. a hidden treasure! The hotel is in a world of its own .. white washed groupings of small buildings with one or two rooms each ... in a maze within beautiful gardens and walkways. Each room has... More

All of the rooms, are amazing, we had a chance to take a tour of most of them. This place was built in 1680. Margarida was a wonderful hostess; this was once a farm and was turned into a hotel/ inn by her grandfather. I love that its a family business. I could easily have lingered on the grounds and... Staid for a couple of days in September and really enjoyed my stay. The hotel is a cute family owned "finca" with an Andalusian style. The gardens, the flowers and the fountains makes it very cosy and beautiful. The staff and the owners are very nice and helpful and really make you feel at home. They speak several languages and... This charming property was the farm belonging to the grandfather of the sisters who now own it. Its lovely old but well-kept buildings are set around a courtyard with lots of space for guests to relax. It's just a short walk to the center of Tavira, yet feels completely separate. A very authentic feeling of an old estate.

We booked the hotel at a fairly late stage and were not disappointed. The hotel is a fantastic find. Top quality accommodation. Staff very friendly. On the edge of the town but like being in the country. Large grounds with trees, ponds and total peace and quiet! No complaints about anything. A wonderful, peaceful holiday........cannot wait to go back to... More

Great time had at this place, very relaxing, really nice surroundings. We stayed in the "Pansy" room which was right next to that quirky pool, could not fault anything except we would have loved a pot of tea at breakfast, we had to make our own-one of the things that made this trip so memorable I suppose ! We love... More
