We stayed with John and Jane last year and had a brilliant time. The breakfast was really good and the room was lovely. John and Jane were really helpful and gave us some really good tips on where to go locally. It's a great location, peaceful yet lots to do as well. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay at Quinta Arruba. The owners are helpful and hospitable and made a great, fresh breakfast every morning. The swimming pool is lovely and the rooms are perfect (apart from the very creaky bed!). We had a car which I think is a must as the town is a good ten minute drive away. Tavira is... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Quinta Arruba. Beautiful house with pool, nice rooms with comfy beds and the breakfast was so good with a lot variety . There's a "living room" and a terrace for the guests an a honesty bar where you can get wine or other drinks. It's located in a rural setting and quiet, but only... More

We stayed with John and Jane in June of this year, at the same time as guests Sarah and Tim who have also reviewed their stay. We wanted to have a week in the sun and to relax away from the buzz of our daily lives. The villa is situated down a long drive away from all traffic, and has... More

Last week, we had chosen Quinta Arruba because of the excellent reviews we found on the site of trip advisor. However, with these in mind, I couldn't help wondering if we hadn't arrived at another place also called Quinta Arruba since our experience differed slightly from the ones mentioned on the site: "friendly, helpful, nice, keen to please, if you... We are very sorry that the family of 4 did not totally enjoy their stay with us. Unfortunatly the question that was asked on first arriving at Quinta Arruba was"is it possible to store food in the fridge" with no explanation of what the food was. We have 4 double rooms and if all guests store food it would maybe... More

11 of us stayed here ranging in ages from 3 - 76! The Villa is very clean, spacious and has everything that you could think of. Jane and John were around everyday to clean the pool and take the rubbish away. They were also on hand in case we had any questions or needed any help. John also kindly helped... More

We recently stayed at this wonderful villa for 6 nights but could have easily stayed for a further 6 nights. Our hosts Jane+John made are stay very special indeed. The breakfast are fabulous with a large selection of cereals/toast/fresh fruit and not forgetting Jane's homemade muffins and banana bread. The rooms are lovely/light/clean and comfortable. The pool area is great... More

Sometimes we struggle to find a large comfortable villa to suit our large family group needs - good size bedrooms, enough bathrooms and a good size lounge - but this fitted the bill. Importantly as well it had a very nice, relaxing yet secure (good for little kids) pooled area. This is predominantly a B&B throughout the year but owners... More

What a great place to stay. Beautiful outlook, peaceful and extremely comfortable and breakfast delicious, with plenty of choice and very healthy. Jane's homemade (and mostly homegrown) jams and muffins etc. escpecially lovely. Enjoyed lots of swims in the pool, especially early morning before breakfast. Thanks to Jane and John for giving us a great base to stay at and... More

My mother, father and I loved this B&B. We stayed a week and found it the perfect location for touring the east side of the Algarve. Jane catered for all our needs, which was a mean feat considering my father is a fussy eater. Our rooms were comfortable, warm (we stayed in February) and spotlessly clean. There was a great... More
