Stayed here end of sept to first week in Oct. We loved this place and I would give it 10 out of 10 for everything. Just thought those who'd not been here might need to know a few practicalities: -you need to hire a car if staying here -breakfast is self-service but the lovely Adriana will bring your fresh juice... more

We had read all the great reviews before we booked, and yet it still exceeded our expectations. Beautiful setting, lovely pool, great food (best food we had in Portugal, and they'd even make specific meals on request!). We had an excellent 2 night stay at Arienne and George's small country hotel in lovely countryside outside Tavira. The evening meals were delicious and very reasonable - piri- piri chicken one night and Argentinian steak the next ( A+G are from Argentina).Fridge outside the room stocked with beers at 1 euro and soft drinks at 1.20 euros!
