The hotel staff are really pleasant and this wonderful old building has been so sympathetically converted...it is like you are stepping back in time but with a modern approach to it all...odd but it works extremely well. Breakfast could have been a little better...old fruit and some cake, yoghurt and cereal...it was OK.Points d LMA is a Fab town on... More

We spent one night at this lovely charming hotel over Xmas. The rooms and living room are tastefully decorated with vintage furniture and cute trinkets. Our room (chocolate) was pretty, with white linen, old radio and new Nespresso machine and kettle. This was convenient, given that the temperature was freezing (outdoors) and lukewarm (indoors), in spite of keeping the heating... More

Bright, beautiful room, combining old stone features with modern elegance. The cafe downstairs is full of fantastic eclectic knick knacks. I have visited Ponte de Lima for 45 years and it manages to move with the times but still glory in its past. Visit, especially when the Monday market is on.

This is ine of the nicest rooms we had until now in Protugal. Everything is super clean, very good bed, wonderful view from the room (we had the yellow soap too.) Locatuin is perfect, the owners very friendly and breakfast was ok too. The bells of the clock of the church don't work from 10pm till 8 am, so that... More

This is the cutest town, ever, and I believe this has to be the most charming hotel I've ever stayed at. Took an albergue break from the Camino and stayed here. The hotel is ridiculously adorable - wonderfully appointed hallways and rooms - very spacious. The staff were super nice and accommodating offering a drink as I stumbled into the... More

This is a nice little place located in a square close to the town centre, bus stop etc. The proprieters and family were all very helpful, breakfasts simple but good with freshly squeezed orange juice and delicious bread. The bar/cafe serves drinks and snacks at very reasonable prices but closes in the evenings. Our room had all we needed but... More

We arrived after 7pm after a long day on the Camino. The staff who welcomed us were brilliant and insisted on pouring us a beer before checking in and showing us to a beautiful room. It was only after this that we discovered they were holding back just for us. No fuss - just smiles and a warm welcome. If... More

This is a nice, beautiful little place in the middle of the city. Our room was the corner room on the second floor, with three french balconies, a huge bed and lovely colors. The breakfast is small but nice with bread, coffee, ham and cakes. I highly recommend this! The only problem is that it's next-door-neighbour to a church and... More

We stayed for two nights at this beautiful place and really enjoyed our time. The room was light, bright and cheerful. We had wonderful furniture and linen to match the experience. Everything was tastefully decorated, including the cafe/restaurant downstairs. More so than the building, the staff deserves a mention. Everyone was so so friendly, attentive and in a good mood.... We came across this fantastic boutique hotel by complete accident. What a charm it was. After a long days walk we arrived in late. The friendliness of the staff was immediately apparent. The room which overlooked the square, was really central and beautifully decorated. Real old world charm. Its a converted shop which is still in the ownership of the family.... More
