This was a lovely hotel - very old school European with nice in-room amenities and very good service. Great location in the centre of town. Breakfast and bar service only so you're on your own for dinner - I'd suggest you go to Convento da Gula for a wonderful dinner. Plus is a small hotel with not many guestrooms -... More

I stayed here on the second day of my hike on the Portuguese Camino. It is a lovely hotel with large airy rooms and quiet nights for good sleeping (after the church bells stop ringing at 2200h). The reception was welcoming and helpful (Raquel was the receptionist; she speaks very good English and is very helpful). It is in the... More

Mercearia da Vila was an old grocery store that has been carefully converted upstairs to provide hotel style accommodation whilst the ground floor is now a bistro/cafe bar. The rooms are all individual design with en-suite facilities providing a very pleasing place to stay right in the heart of this beautiful old town. Breakfast was served downstairs and was very... We have just returned from a 4 night stay at Mercearia da Vila. The room we had booked was upstairs with a balcony but this is not a balcony to sit out on, only to stand and view the amazing town. The bedroom did have tea and coffee facilities which was good but the worst thing for us was the... More

The hotel staff are really pleasant and this wonderful old building has been so sympathetically converted...it is like you are stepping back in time but with a modern approach to it all...odd but it works extremely well. Breakfast could have been a little better...old fruit and some cake, yoghurt and cereal...it was OK.Points d LMA is a Fab town on... More

We spent one night at this lovely charming hotel over Xmas. The rooms and living room are tastefully decorated with vintage furniture and cute trinkets. Our room (chocolate) was pretty, with white linen, old radio and new Nespresso machine and kettle. This was convenient, given that the temperature was freezing (outdoors) and lukewarm (indoors), in spite of keeping the heating... More

Bright, beautiful room, combining old stone features with modern elegance. The cafe downstairs is full of fantastic eclectic knick knacks. I have visited Ponte de Lima for 45 years and it manages to move with the times but still glory in its past. Visit, especially when the Monday market is on.

This is ine of the nicest rooms we had until now in Protugal. Everything is super clean, very good bed, wonderful view from the room (we had the yellow soap too.) Locatuin is perfect, the owners very friendly and breakfast was ok too. The bells of the clock of the church don't work from 10pm till 8 am, so that... More

This is the cutest town, ever, and I believe this has to be the most charming hotel I've ever stayed at. Took an albergue break from the Camino and stayed here. The hotel is ridiculously adorable - wonderfully appointed hallways and rooms - very spacious. The staff were super nice and accommodating offering a drink as I stumbled into the... More

This is a nice little place located in a square close to the town centre, bus stop etc. The proprieters and family were all very helpful, breakfasts simple but good with freshly squeezed orange juice and delicious bread. The bar/cafe serves drinks and snacks at very reasonable prices but closes in the evenings. Our room had all we needed but... More
