This is a lovely boutique hotel in a wonderful part of Greece. I highly recommend it, although it does have a couple of areas that could be improved on. For example, we found the service to be a little lax and occasionally a bit 'cant do' as opposed to 'can do' at times. E.g. we were based at the family... More

The Kinsterna hotel did not disappoint, we stayed after reading glowing reviews by the Telegraph and Conde Nast. A renovated Byzantine mansion, absorbed by the surrounding countryside to preserve the experience and privacy of its guests, every touch lending to its deserved five star status. Stunning infinity pool and lounge areas, a pool bar surrounded by every fruit tree and... More

Thus is truly a wonderful and lovely hotel: the staff are knowledgeable and helpful, the grounds are fantastic, the food is good. But, it isn't a hotel for visiting the beach (unless you want to drive to Elafonisa) as there aren't any very nice beaches nearby. IF you want a super luxurious cocoon to spend a few days in, this... We came here to relax having been touring round ancient sites of the peleponese and the hotel certainly did not disappoint. we had two beautiful rooms in the old building. The welcome given by the staff and the interesting facts about the estate and restoration from Iannis and Alexandros we excellent. we hugely enjoyed our evenings at the 'Taverna' and... More

Fantastic place to stay just outside Monemvasia. Excellent food, with a breakfast buffet that really did beat any other I think I have ever seen. Definitely recommend the honeycomb. The hotel's own wines are also well worth drinking. Loved the privacy here and enjoyed the hotels grounds with some enjoyable walks and runs in the area.

We have spent two nights at Kinsterna. The place is ideal for people who love wine, seeking relaxation by the pool and doing spa treatments. Kinsterna produces its own wine (red, rose and white). I would highly recommend trying the white one (Asyrtiko, Greek Variety). It is dry and very refreshing. Each room has a different decoration, inspiring enough to... More

With an amazing write up in the Sunday times and Conde Nast traveller and the great reviews here this hotel had a lot to live up to. I was delighted that all the elements of an amazing hotel are here - if only they would be all pulled together this would be an outstanding place. The location is amazing, tricky... More

We booked a suite in the hotel. Arrival was a bit unpunctual and not very friendly, but after a long time we finally got the room and a drink (this drink was billed and after we mentioned it, not refunded!). Big nice room and bathroom, excellent equipped. But no evening service at the room. Spa is not available when there... More

The Kinsterna Hotel is beautiful -- wonderfully restored buildings, magnificent grounds and gardening, their own farm products for their kitchens, glorious swimming pools, and a breath-taking view. Their Greek Tavern set dinner with its slow roasted lamb and goat was excellent and highly recommended. Though the hotel was full, it was always very peaceful and never felt crowded. But we... More
