Beautiful old hotel, with lovely atmosphere and truely excellent food, although a little bit over the top in some areas! We elected to have a room in the annex as the main hotel doesnt have ensuite bathrooms. Lovely room could have come out of a danish film set altho the chair in the room had worn split upholstery. The beds....... More

This time we stayed at Admiralgården. We got a beautiful big room, with a nice bathroom. The breakfast at Brøndums is the best we ever had! Superb quality and in beautiful settings. Can also highly recommend the restaurant, and especially the whole evening experience. We were served delightful apetiters in the living room, before we enjoyed a fantastic 5 course... More

We have been spending 1-2 weeks every summer in Skagen and at several occasions had dinner or lunch at Brøndums. This year we also spent one night at the hotel (main building). The building is fantastic and in spite of being quite old I believe it works as this is a beach-hotel, including shared toilet/bathrooms in the hallway etc. The... More

When we arrived in the early evening after phoning the hotel to say we were delayed, we were met by a rather unhelpful person at the reception. We were pointed in the general direction of the building where we were booked, and had great trouble in finding it, thus spending quite some time driving round and round. When we finally... More

We took a weekend stay at the charming and very authentic Brøndums Hotel in Skagen. This is one of the very few, really high-class authentically kept hotels. Its fully the style of the famous painters from Skagen, who lived there a century ago. The old main building have lovely rooms, although no bath/toilet in the rooms, but this doesn't matter,... I arranged a two days trip to Skagen for a group of 8 collegues. Brøndums Hotel was chosen, mostly for its huge historic charm and excellent food. The time has stood still at this hotel (The clock in the conference room is from 1747...), and the athmosphere is still authentic. You can still feel the spirit of the famous Skagen... More

This is the historic place to stay in Skagen if you get a room in the original building. But be aware these rooms don't have bathrooms/toilet.. it's the old-fashioned style where the facilities are down the hall. I didn't mind at all.. the rooms were wonderfully clean with scrubbed wood, the linens nice and crisp. The dining room is definitely... More

We have visited Brødum before and love this old charming hotel. The breakfast in the Garden are just wonderful. We also tried the traditional lunch and was very pleased, but the dinner in the gardens was just marveouls. One of our best meal ever with "Chateaubriand with Bordelaise sauce and sauce Béarnaise"

The location couldn't be better and I didn't even mind that we had to stay in a building down the street from the main hotel in order to get a room with a bathroom. The decor is cheap and pretty shabby looking: stains on the carpet, and dorm like Ikea furniture. No phone or TV, but that's fine. I did... More

My little American family of three, stayed a few days at this hotel to explored Skagen, Denmark. We stayed in the section called "Admuralgaarden", it's just steps down the road from the main hotel. Our room was a suite with 2 bedrooms & private bathroom with shower. It was nice & bright with big windows, and the linens were clean... More
