Billing itself as a five star hotel becomes more & more outrageous as ones stay goes on: Great, woolen cobwebs in the corner of a modestly appointed room, with dubious quality furnishings & questionable facilities. The restaurant should be immediately advised that bundling a slice if kiwi fruit & a wedge of strawberry onto EVERY SINGLE tired dish that leaves... More

Třeboň is a great destination for bike riders - many bike tracks between old ponds with very old oaks and many sightseeing possibilities. Hotel is located on the main square just next to the castle. Spacious and well equipped rooms, good service and very good restaurant. Be careful when booking economy rooms - though nice and big, windows of some... More

The Golden Star is the grand old dame of Trebon's hotels and for some time was a well kept hotel. Unfortunately it seems they have tried to cater for everything and everybody rather than sticking to their core values. We booked last minute for a night away whilst the in-laws looked after the kids and found a surprisingly cheap room... More

My wife and I spent a night at this wonderful hotel while biking across the Czech Republic. The hotel is right on the well-kept Old Square - the place to be. The famous town is a gem and everyone seems to be making sure visitors have a great time. Our hotel was well-appointed its thick walls assure a restful sleep,... More

We stayed in this hotel twice. Trebon is a beatiful small town surrounded by a magnificent landscape. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is of good quality and you can sit outside. Outside seating is located directly on town main square under Renaissance arcade and prices are reasonable. However, in my opinion, for four star hotel there... More

The hotel had a very nice reception area and was centrally located on the main square. Our room was very nice. Although if you need to have your window open at night for fresh air, you will occasionally hear some drunks (or loudly talking Czechs) coming home from the pubs. The reception desk was very helpful and had a locked... More

The hotel is clean and employees are friendly. The room was sufficient but bathroom a bit too Ikea style. Breakfast buffet pathetic with the cheapest breads and buns on the market, also cold cuts and cheeses were low quality. Some pastry, cereal and yoghurt were on hand. Coffee machine supplied decent java and good selection of teas was offered. Not... More

When I had to book a hotel in Trébon to spend a night I was very hesitant, despite the reviews read on Tripadvisor. I chose this hotel and I'm sorry for having done so. The location is very good, but almost all hotels are well located, the village is very small and is developed around the main square where the... More

This was a very tiny room, tucked into a corner spot, which did not allow a lot of space for relaxation – it was meant for sleeping. The bedding was acceptable. The bathroom worked well. The breakfast was ok too. All in all, nothing special, but a good place to settle down for the night and push you out to... More

After renovation in 2004 the first and today only 4 **** hotel in Třeboň. On its side the path leads to the square by one of the main streets, which leads through two gates (Vokova), along the original city walls, the banks of the Svět pond and follows the historical road leading into the town from the South. House numbers... More
