I was at this hotel for three nights in June of 2015, (in time for the Solstice revelry). The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and it really is only a very short distance from the old town's wonderful sites. The rooms were large, and the WIFI was fantastic! (The bathroom alone was nearly as large as... More

Very nice and cosy hotel, not far away from the center. A 15 minute walk will bring you to the center. Very good breakfast, nice rooms and compared to other hotels for sure a good choice and budget friendly too.

Our first impression of this hotel was the excellent front desk service. Inga came out of the hotel to help us find a free car park on the street, translated street signs for us and advised us how to park. She could not have been more helpful and friendly. The hotel is in a beautiful old building on a church... More

The Hanza is a little out of the centre, but when you are looking at the map check the scale - the distances around Riga are tiny!! The walk into town is through the Central Market anyway, which is very cool and interesting, so it's ok. Also, the Hanza is v easy to find, close the Bus 22 stop at... More

Really like this hotel, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Lovely rooms and for the price, unbelievable quality. Not a massive menu, but very good value and served by very nice staff. Only one downside is the location, a bit too far to walk but not far enough to warrant taxi, to the center. Otherwise, this hotel beats a... More

A wonderful hotel! The rooms have floor heating, a spacious bed and are quiet. In the elevator you see the weather for the day. The breakfast is good, the personell speaks fluent English and is friendly. For a mere 43 Euro its an excellent place to stay in, for the hotel lies in a good neighbourhood (the ambassy of Belarussia... More

I stayed here recently with my boyfriend and don't have many complaints. the rooms were clean and pleasant. The walls were a little thin and I really did not need to hear what my neighbours were up to though that's not the hotels fault. the hotel is a little out of the city centre but it's only about a ten/fifteen... Firstly, the good points: the hotel is good value and my room was spacious and spotlessly clean. As others have said, the basement used for the buffet breakfast, bar and restaurant is inadequate. Unless breakfast is taken early there are insufficient seats. After a couple of days the breakfast becomes very boring and lacking taste especially the strange scrambled egg... More

Large room, big bed each, three could share with bed each. Nice bathroom. Great breakfast with healthy food. Dinner reasonably priced. Staff excellent but agree we were directed to a restaurant that served microscopic meals. Admittedly it was a Sunday night. Good city for walking, close to shopping centre and covered markets. Fabulous architecture, and very reasonably priced local food.... More
