Excellent location, very clean, very good staff, and good selection for breakfast. So why not 5 stars. My room was bright and sunny, and in late June there isn't many hours when it's dark. I would have given this hotel 5 stars if it had black out curtains in the room, as it was just too light.

We stayed for four nights at the hotel in the beginning of May 2014. The hotel is wonderfully located, just a few steps from Saint Peter's Church and the Blackheads House, at a walking distance from all the monuments in the Old City. The staff is really friendly, everybody speaks good English and is keen to help you in anyway... More

Located in central Riga this hotel lies within walking distance off all Places to visit in Lativa´s capital. The staff was very kind and helpful. We had a nice stay at low costs. The breakfast-buffet had a wide choice between anti pasti, pancakes, baked beans, fried potatoe patties, bread, cereals and much more. This hotel is highly recommended!

Here's the quick hit, 10 being best: cleanliness & comfort=7, location=9, staff friendliness=9.5, local knowledge=9.5, overall value=9. Maybe my favorite hotel experience out of our one month, seven country trip. Staff did everything for us, from giving us tips on local restaurants, to helping us learn rudimentary Latvian, paldias! The hotel also had a daily "cool stuff to do and... More

This hotel is ideally situated next to the old town and the Daugava River. Only few hundred meters from the airport transfer bus stop. Nice decorations in the hall and the yard. The rooms are clean, but little bit worn. We got a good sleep, the bed and pillows were fine and even our room was to the street there... More

I came for a long weekend as was running the Nordea Riga Marathon. Having caught an early flight I was told my room was not ready. Staff were not welcoming and decided to go to the Marathon Exhibition so my room would be ready on return . Had to fill in a form and they requested my credit card details.... More

I spent 2 nights in this hotel and I enjoy very much the excellent position, the kind staff and the good breakfast of this charming hotel. Additionally, the historical furniture helps creating a romantic atmosphere. I recommend to everyone to book this hotel during the visit of Riga! Sabrina from Rome

You can't get a better location. Very central in the old town. Walking distance to all touristic places. Lobby looks very nice. Rooms are okay, size is fine but they are a bit run down. Beds are hard and pillows are very small which makes the sleeping experience not that pleasant. Breakfast was good.

I stayed there several in 2012 and 2013. It's my prefered hotel in Riga. Hotel is located right in the old town, perfect to visit the city and it's very quiet unlike many other hotels in this area. The stardard room are spacious enough and i stayed once in a suite (thanks for the upgrade!) that was stunning. The friendly... More

This hotel is rated 4 star but really it is a 2 or 3 star by our UK standards. It is however in a perfect location right in the heart of the Old Town and was very cheap (booked via ebookers) . Staff were friendly and very helpful. Rooms were basic and had a fridge with mini bar but no... More
