I can handle a 'less-than' fantastic hostel, but when a property showcases themselves as 'newly renovated in january 2006' and clearly is not - i can not abide false advertising or blatant lying! The hostel has an excellent location right in the centre of the old town. Although this means it can get a little loud occasionally with people coming out of pubs in the evening, the location is unbeatable for all of Riga's top sights as well as all the restaurants and bars. Facilities were basic but clean and beds were comfy.... more

Doma hostel was by far the best hostel we have ever stayed at! The staff were friendly, very helpful, interested in our travels and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed.
