The hotel location is spot on. It is set in a very old building right in the heart of the old town by St Peters Church. The central market, bars and sights are within easy walking distance. The hotel itself is charming. It is set in an old convent and was spotlessly clean. We stayed in room 10 around the... More

I stayed here for five nights in September--in a top floor room with its own separate entrance. Room was immaculate and lovely; great view over the rooftops. It was up a twisty flight of stairs, so if that's a problem, suggest a different room. Incredibly centrally located in the medieval part of the city, a World Heritage Area. I didn't... More

I've stayed in Ekes Konvents for 2 nights in January 2014, and I can say that this is a lovely charming place! Located in the very center of the old Riga, and from the hotel you can easily reach all places of interest. As for a hotel - I had small, but good decorated room with a view to the... More

Depending what your after rooms are small, being over over 6 foot struggled in shower. My partner had issues with hair dryer as only mirror was in bathroom and hair dryer lead was connected to a bracket which should be mounted on wall, which made drying hair difficult. They had poor knowledge of local area, as a tourist would of... More

Inside and out full of character and simple charm. Warm welcoming and spotlessly clean throughout plus a great value stay. You need to go with the flow with this property and enjoy the ambiance , shut your eyes and step back in time. Open the shutters fully and embrace the vibe of the Old Town below. Recommending both restaurants either... More

The Ekes Konvent is a great B&B if you want to get a feel of what it may have been like to live in this area 600 years ago! The rooms though small are flooded with sunlight, and have ensuite bath with a great shower. There is a terrific view of the square and St. Peter's church. There is always... More

Very small hotel in the old building. Located right in the middle of the old town. I had a room with a view on the church and the square. Girls at the reception are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast has being served at the building next door and it was buffet. No Wifi in the room but hey we are... More

Take with you warm socks and ask for an extra blanket (staff will provide you with one with a smile) and do not rely on the hair dryer, otherwise great stay, interesting building, nice spacious bathroom, friendly staff. Although the room was mentioned to be "extra small" it was spacious enough for two people, no room for extra bed, though.... More

Very old building, more than 600 years, and very well renovated. The rooms are very sympathetic with flair. Very human size with very pleasant reception: employees are very teking care of the visitors. The area is animated with street musicians of good level: voices are great. The breakfast in the nearby hotel is a good buffet. Nearby you can find... More

Immediately behind the St John's church on a pedestrian street in the old town you are situated in the middle of everything. My room faced the church and had character. One draw back may be that there is no elevator. Reception was very helpful with good english and information. The breakfast is in another bldg. and was possibly the best... More
