Excellent value, great location on edge of a park and very close to the Old Town. Decor quite grand with very nice bar and reasaurant. Our standard room was very confortable but a small window with no view. The upgraded rooms looked worth the extra. Incredible value "business lunch" menu that I'd highly recommend. Breakfast was perfectly adequate though not... More

Visited here on eastern. Had a fab holiday. Hotel was really nice and beautiful. It was in a good place, everything was near! Restaurants, shops etc. Had a room in 4th floor and it wasn't so big and high than in 3rd floor that our friend were staying. Would recommend still to everyone. Our highligt was free sauna and jacuzzi... More

I have recently returned from a 4 night stay at the Europa with my girlfriend. We arrived late at night to the hotel and when we checked in we had been upgraded for free to a bigger room. When entering the room and the hotel in general there is a sense of grandeur with ornate decoration and very high ceilings.... More

We stayed for five nights and were lucky to find out that we had choosen absolutely right. Now a few days after leaving Riga we look back at the marvellous breakfasts each morning and wish we were back. Just the breakfasts could be the reason to return here. As for our interests it will be impossible to find a better... More

Fantastic building full of patina and ancient noble atmosphere all over. A bit smelly in corridors but that is to expect in an old building like this. Was upgraded to the Royale Suite, the largest and most distinguished room/apartment, which was a great experience. That also included less noise (facing the backyard) compared to the more traffic exposed rooms facing... More

Next to the old - town and not far from coach station, this hotel makes you feel like you are in the XIX century - high ceiling, antique furniture and amazing ceiling decoration. This hotel offered us one of the best breakfast choices I've ever seen, free wi-fi and helping stuff. At first we got room 202 with spacious bathroom... More

The room was a bargain via Booking.com. Here are the good things... - Large room (319), comfy beds - excellent location: close to town, trams and buses - polite and helpful staff - use of sauna and hot tub - tasty and varied breakfast But there were some things which could've been better... - poor sound insulation from room next... The hotel is in a great location, staff are great, breakfast as many have pointed out is complete, varied and delicious... cereals, bacon, sausage, fried potatoes, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, soft and hard boiled eggs, various breads, cheese, cold cuts, home made roast pork, cheese curds, smoked salmon, marinated herring, devilled eggs, cucumber, tomatoes, fruits, coffee, many different teas, orange,... This exquisitely beautiful old building, with a rich history, is the perfect place to stay while in Riga. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the bar area is stunning with its beautiful stained glass, the dining room is a work of art with the most amazing decorative ceiling and the staff are really helpful. The breakfast buffet is truly fantastic... More

This was my third stay here, and once again this wonderful hotel made me very welcome. This time my room was larger,in the old part of the hotel but with everything I needed.Maybe the crimson decor is not to everyone's taste, but the echoes of faded grandeur were certainly in keeping with the splendid old part of the building. Dinner... More
