It's quiet and not so full most the time so you don't notice the other guests. Receptionist goes away at night. So very quiet and eerie. It's a little bit further off the main areas but not so much that it's not walkable. Also a bit pricier than other nearby hostels. No kitchen - just a fridge and microwave. I... More

I'd start off by saying if you want to stay places on the cheap in eastern Europe, favour staying in youth hostels rather than guest houses. The price will be around the same but you will get staff more willing to make suggestions on things to do in the area. This place is really near the station which is handy... More

I think location is good (in Elizabetes Street) If you follow this street you can reach old town center. It's also close to Origo Shopping Mall and train station. During my stay restoration was made in next building there Cleanliness and price are ok. One of the guy in staf behave overfamiliar it annoyed me.

Stayed there for 5 nights in August 2013, 4 of these nights with a international group of 71 people. For they don’t have so many beds they cooperated with “Central Park Hostel” which is situated in the same building at 1st floor. First about location: The hostel is the perfect base for the city of Riga – 100m to the... More

It wasn't best choice for our stay in Riga. Hostel is located on the end of dark street, 15minutes from city center. The whole building is rather old and smells bad :/ Room, blankets and bathrooms weren't clean. And the host... Men whom we met there barely speaks english and was kind of meddlesome. We've also got problems with parking... More

I booked a night in this hostel through one of the online hostel booking websites. I stayed a night when stopping by Riga. I have to say, it wasn't terribly easy to locate. I first had to buy a Riga city map (which was itself, difficult) and then use international 3G data roaming to find the address of the hostel.... More

This hostel has comfortable beds. There are some kitchen appliances guests can use (no cooker, though). Bathrooms and toilets are clean. Towel and linen provided. Breakfast is cereal and a piece of cake, so you might want to pop in nearby RIMI for a yoghurt or fruit. Location is great- close to railway and bus stations, supermarkets, public transport, street... More

Even though it's located in a dark side street, it's only a few minutes walk from the train station and big shopping centre. Staff was otherwise ok but the elder ladys were a bit cranky.. Our room was freezing cold and when we mentioned about it they only gave us couple of blankets.. If you're looking for a place to... More

Located in a dark side street with dodgy characters hanging around I would not recommend this for any single women. The entrance smells of urine, the place is dirty, beds are uncomfortable and unsafe, showers dirty, mouldy. One towel for two people in the room, the room looked out onto the post sorting office so loud at the morning. people... More

Well, located in the area of central station, it is a little bit loud in the night. It is not real latvia, since this area is mostly occupied by russians. Even the hostel staff is russian with poor english. At the reception the guy tried to rip us off by offering 2 beds in the 8 bed-dorm for 16 LATS/... More
