What a LOVELY hotel with incredible staff. Everything about our room was carefully and thoughtfully designed: plenty of storage in the bathroom, variable lighting, comfortable furniture, tons of space, striking local artwork on the wall. The people at the front desk were similarly wonderful. We told them in passing after breakfast that we were thinking of going to the Ethnographic... more

The hotel is located in a very silent area, close to the old town. People of the hotel are very nice and customer oriented, Rooms are great, full of confort, clean, huge. The standard is very high and the ratio quality/price is absolutely fair. The only suggestion could be to provide for free the parking to the customers. more

I have stayed at this hotel regularly on business trips. I love the fact the rooms are really big, the beds are huge and have fabulous linen. They have Sony Bravia flatscreen TVs and a small DVD library and also a small ktchenette. The colours are muted and tasteful and the rooms makes you feel at home, away from home.... more

We travelled to Riga for a special occasion, and found this hotel reviewed on the Tripadvisor website. We were very happy with every aspect of our stay. The staff were all very friendly, and helpful. The hotel is within approx 5-10 min walk of the Old Town and Central Markets. We had a Loft Suite (there were 3 of us... more

I shouldn't write more nice things about this hotel, because last time I wanted to go there is was fully booked and I didn't get a room. The Bergs is a privately owned hotel, the property was inherited by a local and transformed with so much care and attention to detail. Area is just average, though it's only a 5... more

The BERGS Hotel in Riga wants to be a 5* "Small Luxury Hotel" at around € 300/night. But at this rating and price guest can expect real service - which isn't offered by the BERGS Hotel: When we arrived we waited 5 minutes but nobody has shown up to bring our luggage inside, then I did it myself. Inside, at... more

We just got back from our stay at this lovely hotel. We booked a loft suite and it certainly did not dissapoint. Two bathrooms, a kitchenette with no trouble making room for our goods without the annoying "pay if you take anything out". Large upstairs bedroom with our pick of pillows, we got a pillow menu and all got a... more

Hotel Bergs is located fairly centrally in the smart Berga Bazaars shopping area in the new town. It's a fairly small 'boutique' hotel hidden behind the main street in it's own cobbled courtyard with a large tree in friont that was festooned in lights and upon arrival the whole thing looked absolutely fantastic! It's a very smart, contemporary hotel and... more

The hotel can best be described as "could be great, but". I booked a loft penthouse, pricey but great, two stories, balconies etc. The public rooms for hanging around in are mediocre (something called a library and another called something else), but during off hours you can get a drink or coffee and sit in the dining room which is... more
